Florida either 1) had been planning for the Alabama game pretty much all offseason and so far this season, 2) Maybe is a really good team that played well against Bama. Or Bama is just a good team that played another good team in a hostile environment and still found a way to win.
All of the above really. I thought it was going to be a close game going into it. Florida is already a good team and has probably had this game circled since last year. Add in a mobile qb which is typically Bama's kryptonite and a hostile crowd that screws up the offense and you have yesterday.
As long as we don't have any major injuries throughout the season I like our chances in a rematch on a neutral field. Without the crowd noise I think Bama easily turns the field goal into a touch down and probably picks up 1-2 more.

Same. What makes it even scarier is that Kiffin has 2 weeks to prepare.

We survived an off game. I think people need to calm down.
The problem with this thought is that we have to ask ourselves was it really an "off game", or just par for the course of a Golding coached defense?
I think that's the frustration. Do we really think Bama is going to clamp down and limit the likes of Ole Miss and aTm to 20 -28 points? You'd be foolish to expect it.

Ole Miss? No.
Texas A&M? Yes.

Ole Miss looks dangerous, I'm sure Kiffin has been prepping is playcalling game plan for Bama for a while now.
That said, first real hostile environment in 2 years and we had a lot of young players that probably didn't know how to react to being down 28-3.
I said it last week as well - lets see what happens over the next month and if the team can gel.
If we can beat Ole Miss and A&M, I bet the team will have started to improve and develop an offensive identity.

You also have to take into account that that was most of our starters first true away game. And that is one of the loudest stadiums in the country. I am just not all that ready to take a lot away from that game yet.

This team has few play makers and experienced elite athletes, unlike what we've grown accustomed to lately.
Agree, 100%.
Brian Robinson and Jase McClellan aren’t built like Eddie Lacy, Najee Harris, Derrick Henry, or others we’ve had in the past.
John Metchie and Jameson Williams aren’t built like Julio, Amari, DeVonta, or others we’ve had in the past.
Our best skill position players aren’t automatic 1st round picks this season like we are used too. We’ll need to be strong everywhere this season to win #19.
