Personally think it is still wide open, but leaning to Coker, Morris, or Barnett. A poll I did on TSWSNBN reflects that too, though it only has a few votes.

IF Coker misses any extended time, I think whoever has the better scrimmage between Barnett and Morris may take it, barring an explosive day from Cornwell or Bateman.

Though everything could change depending on Coker's status.

It could be Blake, but him throwing 3 INTs, and 2 pick sixes in the scrimmage is the exact opposite thing that Saban would like to see in whoever starts.

I agree with this part, though Blake does get a little bit of a pass since he's a Freshman. That said, him being a Freshman is probably the only thing holding him back right now.

Is Tony Brown hurt or is Minkah just the second coming of Deion?

funny considering many thought he would end up at FSU.

Minkah was hyped up and highly recruited since he was like a sophomore in HS, right? Is it really surprising that he is doing so well?

IIRC Brown is a little banged up with the shoulder, but Minkah has had a crazy good camp. Could see him starting for sure at this rate.

I haven't heard this much buzz about a freshman corner in quite a while. It would not surprise me with a new coach having arrived and the older players having to "unlearn" some old habits that we may see a true freshman starting. Even with that though I expect to see a good bit of Brown this season. With the number of snaps the HUNH produces we need to play more players if we want to be healthy come November

I'm not sure I've ever heard this much buzz about a Freshman CB. Ronnie Harrison has been getting a lot of hype too at Safety.

As for TB, I could see him and Minkah both on the field in Dime. One at CB, one at Money.

Yup, Saban confirmed.

Said he'll miss several days, they anticipate a full recovery.

Barnett, Cornwell, Morris, Bateman, this is your time to grab those horns.

regardless of his rating or hype, YES, it is still surprising to see any DB flourishing as a TF under saban, especially because he was not an EE.

The only similar occurrence was Kareem Jackson in 2007. But there was a talent void then.

Milliner also started as a freshmen, but it was also die to a depth circumstance. He was really good, but not this level of hype.

I know Milliner started as a freshman, but I was pointing out that Jackson wasn't an early enrollee. Milliner was.

Kareem Jackson was a RB.

You are thinking of Rashad Johnson.

Um. He was a DB signee out of Fork Union Military. Now, he played both ways in high school but what skill player didn't?

But I was incorrect about when Jackson enrolled. He left Fork Union early and enrolled at Alabama in January 2007.

Now Rashad Johnson was a RB. He was a walkon under Shula. I think he might have moved to DB in 2006, but Saban had him there permanently in the spring of 2007.
