The player is question was obviously Boz's sauce for a recent info thread a few weeks back. I highly doubt he'd go from that to 'not a Bama player' anymore in this amount of time and for no reason. I think any strong reaction to this current thread is foolish.

This didn't age well.. Boz might have been off
Bama is a tight ship now, it doesn't leak much at ALL. But it was known in a few circles he has been suspended for weeks, it wasn't leaked out so the media couldn't run with it and end any chance of his return..But the kid couldn't get right or pass a drug test. That doesn't sit well with the staff.....I wish the best for him, but it won’t be at Bama.

Potential to be great was there but potential doesn’t equal production and by all accounts Anoma was a ways away from contributing on the field in a significant role.

With that said, I hope people don’t bash the guy. He’s a young guy and who knows what he is going through. I sincerely hope he can get everything together and have a successful football and academic career somewhere.

I think he most definitely had a major role this upcoming season, but it is all a moot point now.

Providing the article is correct

No, I'm not upset. Not at all. But I am mildly annoyed that we can't discuss something else.

This Anoma/Cecil stuff has run its course for today. Would you like to discuss any other Bama football topic? I sure would.

How about that offensive line? Do you think Owens can hold off the newcombers at Center?

Then make another thread...

Got a feeling Anoma will end up like Nkemdiche - a serious waste of talent.

Perhaps, but if he ends up at Maryland, he's just another stud they picked up. Locksley inherited a fairly stacked roster and has attracted more talent after the fact. If Maryland has a legit QB whose joints don't explode, watch out for them. They've got a fair amount of talent on both sides of the ball, and Durkin - despite his flaws - had them flying around, playing fast and tough. If Locksley gets and keeps that ship going in the right direction and avoids scandal, he could really build something. That DMV recruiting area is nasty.

I probably understand the business concept way more than you do.

Assumptions again like some others on here.

But again maybe if I understood them better would not have retired already at such a young age.

I spoke with 9 and without dragging something out, he’s a quitter. Everyone here has likely seen it before, he isn’t willing to do what it takes to be great. I’m disappointed to say the least, he talked a big game but in the end it only came down to words.

If that’s true, he will be a failure no matter where he plays. Soft people don’t succeed in the real world.

So is he done with football altogether or just at Bama?

It seemed like he was ready to play when you had that convo with him. I wonder what happened? Homesick?

Not sure on his status playing football, I’m so disappointed. If he does play it will be somewhere easier.

He was so incredibly motivated and ready to get on track and then bam. Everyone has seen that guy who can’t get out of his own way.

I had a very lengthy conversation with a player of ours from the DC/Baltimore area. Things we discussed:

He said it was very difficult to sit on the sidelines during the year, he was very upset at the coaches because he knew he was better. Exact words “give me 3 seconds and he won’t get a straight pass”. He said the natty was awful just watching sub par edge rushers.

Said he almost left but he will play a lot this year and knows he is a starter.

I asked how the team felt in general, he said it’s not mad it’s just edgy. He said they have had some heated talks and scraps but not in a dividing way just frustration. I told him the secondary killed us the in the game he said don’t worry we are good to go this year. He also mentioned a lot of the leaders had NFL blinders on and caused issues, he said the guys who were more quiet last year are much more vocal this year. Almost like they were waiting for them to leave. Williams was one them.

Finally I said “you realize it’s us and Clemson again right” he said “ no I don’t think so, he said they have a monumental amount of internal problems right now, large fights, locker room divided type stuff”

Anyway I wanted to share. I talk to this player from the NE often and he is filled with insight. He is the type I can ask questions from the group and he will answer.

So since this player is now deemed to be a worthless failure when it comes to committing, do you consider everything he told you to be worthless?

Seems he's not very credible. Also seems convenient you used his words for clicks on a forum and now you're shitting on him. Let it go.

I don’t consider his info not to be credible, he was in a different place when we had that convo. I used it for clicks? You act like I get paid for those. Sounds like you need to let it go.

No but you did use it to gain credibility on a forum. Otherwise you wouldn't have posted it for everyone to discuss.

He talked to you, not so you could run here and post the conversation. Be grateful, don't hate on the kid.

What does it matter? You posted the conversation and turned sour once the player left. It's a bad look for you, regardless of the position you hold.

It’s not actually because of the relationship. But you have always flirted the line of trying to cause an uprising so again have a good day.
