It wound up not hurting us because they settled for a fg anyway, but to me, that incident was a microcosm of this season. He clearly realized he jumped early and then just stands up and walks back. Had he hustled back there is always potential that he gets back in time and no flag is thrown. Not to mention it was 4th and fricking 4. As an upperclassman, how do you make that mistake??

I'd have loved to see what Rolondo McClain / Donta / CJ would have done if a player did that.

Why are we attempting to block it at all?

These players today wouldn’t know what to do if a Rolando type player walked in that locker room. We need a true alpha again that everyone is scared of on the defensive side of the ball.

I don’t think his head has been in the game the last 3 or 4 games.

I’m obviously not in the locker room so I can only speculate, but you have to wonder if his attention has been on the NFL the last few weeks.

I am just as glad #7 is gone as I am Savion Smith left last year. Diggs should be a receiver instead of trying to play defense.

I would say this year we had more mental errors & penalties than we've had in a while.
Whenever we got a stop on defense or a big play on offense my eyes are hoping not to see flags on the play.
It hurt our 1st TD yesterday got called back for a penalty.
This is out of character for a Saban coached team.

He also stood there and just watched while this guy scored a TD.

Except for a couple of plays in the whole year our CBs were very lackadaisical. Never emotional never highly engaged never leading the charge. Just seem to be going through the motions most of the time. Cannot believe he let a TE beat him in the end zone,he got completely turned around. Maybe I am wrong.

I'm sorry, but Surtain had a great year. He rarely got beat by anything but a great throw and catch. He really is a fantastic corner. Most teams schemed away from him and at Diggs.

They are both great athletes. They will both play in the pros.
But do you think they will be remembered as great players at Alabama?

He did. Surtain is one of the top Corners in the nation, he doesn’t make splash plays but teams can’t throw his way.

On the TD to Canellas (sp?) That was surtain..and i really think he thought the ball was thrown Away..he was in good position and watched it go by. Nice to have tall TE that get the opps (like the Moss catch in the LSU game)
