Golding's first year was 2019, so unless you're referring to the Citrus Bowl championship, this is inaccurate. His first year they gave up what at the time were two of the worst statistical defensive performances of the Saban era. In the years since, Golding has beaten those personal worsts on at least three occasions.

We won it all in 2020 dude.

For this statement alone… you should be banned. In no fricking universe, is DUI Pete in the same stratosphere as Kirby. This might be one of the single dumbest things ever posted on these entire boards, … and that’s saying a lot.

Yes it had to be because my first I could find for SEC recruiting/rant was July 2011

Makes you wonder how much the Covid year affected everyone.

You said Golding's first year, which, again, was 2019.

Even then, Bama had historically bad defensive performances against Ole Miss and Florida. That 2020 Ole Miss game was statistically the worst defensive performance in the history of Alabama football.

Man it must be nice thinking this is 2010 or 2019 and we just need to tweak this or that, get players healthy and boom! Instant National Championship.

There is something rotten in Denmark. We have become a big 12 team. Sure we have better players but we are no longer a team that other teams hate playing. Hell, other teams love playing us because they know they can win, especially when they have their home crowd behind them.

Wanna know how you shite up an opposing crowd? You run the friggin ball. You shut their offense down with 3 and outs. Apparently we can’t do either anymore, but hey our QB won the Heisman. He can make plays that makes your jaw drop, but we can’t run consistently between the tackles

Most people on this forum wanted Kirby fired after 2010. He gave up 35 to South Carolina, 28 to Auburn and 24 to LSU. We couldn’t stop anyone with a good offense in the 4th quarter. This was all before the offensive explosion in college football. I’m not saying Pete will end up being Kirby but let’s not act like Kirby was a defensive savant immediately.

I love this revisionist view of Kirby that seems to be popular on here

This is the same guy that talked about how we'd take Georgia to the woodshed in the national championship game. He called those of us with concerns as "knowing nothing about football". Take what he says and toss it out with the garbage.

We beat them badly in the SEC championship just like I said we would. I had no way of knowing Williams would get hurt in the championship. If he stayed healthy we would’ve won by 2 scores. He was open the entire time before his injury.

Dude...we didn't stop them but one time last night in the second half. Just one 3 and out. Every time Bama scored they came back and scored as well.

On the drive where they scored the td with 1.47 min left Golding has us with 5 down lineman and man every where else. I asked everyone at my house wtf were they doing, you can't leave the fn middle of the field open. What happens...Daniel's promptly sees the middle of the field open and runs for a nice long gain. 20 plus yards.

It's stupid shite like this that let's you know the guy doesn't have a clue.

Boz, I respect your posts and information, but what is your take on the team and coaching staff moving forward?

The former players are calling it over, the team is down, and Saban needs some new coaches.

I pray we can find something this week in practice and get pissed off. I’m halfway thinking about stopping into practice this week just to see.

If you are satisfied with this product, let me remind you of this Nick Saban quote.

“Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people.”

Soon we will have a team comprised of mediocre staff and players, because the high achievers will go where they are held accountable and rewarded for success.

This is a calling card of Golding defenses. Whenever we are in a tight game in the second half and the offense scores, the defense lets up and gives up a drive. It's like clockwork.

Also, Jim would coach circles around BoB.

Jim McElwain won two national championship rings at Alabama. To say that BoB is bascially McElwain is pure fricking stupidity.

We were on the ropes against South Carolina in 2009 with a national championship berth on the line, so what does McElwain do? Goes all in with Ingram in the wildcat on the clutch drive that sealed the game. You think BoB would ever have the ability to prepare a team for that and then manage that in the clutch?

You're a fricking idiot.
