It's been awhile gents. 17 years and we haven't had a coaching search. We haven't faced uncertainty. It's here and I'm loving it personally. I want more chaos. Could you imagine what would happen in this scenario?

- Harbaugh leaves Michigan
- Kelly leaves LSU for Michigan
- Someone leaves to go to LSU.

If this happens too many Blue Bloods would be left out in the cold. I would think we would see lots of change in CFB if that were to happen.

Am I the only one that is enjoying all of this and excited about the future?

I wouldn't say that I love all of the chaos per se, but I am excited about the future. It was always going to be a shock to the system when Saban hung it up, so none of this is particularly surprising or unexpected. The bottom line is that we've largely avoided all this portal/NIL auction stuff because we've had the GOAT as our coach since it started. Now its our turn to face the music, and while that sucks, we'll just have to roll with it. Personally, I am not worrying too much about the departures as its totally beyond my control, but instead excited about the guys that are staying, and their potential with this new staff.

I can't speak for anyone else but when you know the outcome is going to be great you do lose some sense of fandom? For example, I knew year in and year out.... Bama would be top 2-3 for recruits and I lost interest because we had the GOAT. I was more interested at that point in the games than the development in the program.

Now my interest in recruiting has picked back up. I am probably now more interested in recruiting now than I have been since the days of Star Jackson.

Problem is one blue blood dies and all of their relevant players transfer to one of 3 or 4 schools. And the dead school basically has no opportunity to defend themselves with everybody else's players being locked away from the portal. So while we get a 12 team playoff, GA, Ohio State, and TX and just going to be even better than everyone else and it'll basically be over before it starts.

I am very excited about the new staff and the coaching change. If we’re honest the last 5 yrs have been somewhat mundane. I hate Bama is losing so many key pieces BUT if they can keep the new guys and add some quality portal pieces this team has a chance to be very good. It’s been a long time since we’ve had to face the unknown and it’s exciting.

I can't remember being as excited for college football as I am now. Usually, especially after losing a playoff game, it takes a few months for me to start looking forward to the next season.
This isn't the case for me now.

I love what CNS was able to do here. I have enjoyed his tenure immensely. He did protect us from this shite. You have to take the bad with the good, though.

But he's a dying breed. In so much more than football. It isn't going to take CNS going forward, though. It takes a new kind of dude. A younger, hungrier dude. I think DeBoer is that dude.

But their time to hire a new coach will come, too. OhioSt especially. Day might be the only coach that could go 11-1 next year and get fired. They will not tolerate losing to Michigan long.

I am thoroughly enjoying it but not as much as I'm gonna enjoy throwing the success of Deboer in these dumb arse bitches face when he starts winning games. The cesspool rant has reached clown status since Saban has left. I'm gonna start bookmarking posts and make my own thread when we happen to reach the playoffs after the departure of all these players to show the dumbassery that littered the board for so many months lol

Yep, comes from knowing the difference between believing Bama can beat anybody and that they should beat everybody. One is definitely more exciting but winning is the be all
