Mac’s a better passer but give me Coker all day if a play breaks down. His running ability was really solid and I’m convinced he would’ve been a hell of a QB if he had another year of starts under his belt.
I’ve yet to see Mac make a play like this..

Coker had a better arm than Mac Jones
Mac Jones is 2-1 as a starter losing to an inferior Auburn team with 2 pick 6s, and struggled to move the ball vs Michigan
Coker was undefeated as a starter

Coker also had the best defense in the nation and a Heisman winner in Henry. Comparing wins as a starter is dumb. Especially considering Mac has a very small sample size. McElroy was also undefeated in 2009. Does that mean his 2009 season was better than Tua’s 2018?
Just fyi but Mac threw for more yards against Michigan (top 25 D too) than any other QB all season long.

Coker was pedestrian for half a season, good for the 2nd half and an absolute gawd in the SECCG+Playoffs

Guys you should just let me choose the starting QB in 2020 ok? I was one of the first to call for Tua back in 2016. Highly controversial.

It ain’t gonna be Mac Jones, nothing against the guy aight. I know it’s controversial now, but hopefully it won’t be soon, because I will be in 2016 form until Mac Jones is on the bench.
