Do you think Graham Nicholson regrets his decision?

1-2 FG, tied for 148th in the country.

He was 27-28 last year at Miami (OH) but he’s just not getting any chances this year. Alabama is dead last in FG per game.

I’m not saying it’s a good or bad thing, it’s just one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen. To put it in perspective, by this time last year, Reichard was already up to 11 made FG and Alabama finished the season tied for 7th in FG per game.

He needs some kicks before he trots out for a game winner.

Who cares? He’s not an NFL-caliber kicker from the small sample I’ve seen.

He can check his bank account for whether it was the correct move. He will be playing in some of the best arenas in the country as well.

Playing against UGA itself (along with his salary) would be enough to make the move.

I've been thinking recently that it is incredibly weird how few field goals we've taken

Granted we did rob him of two against UGA with those first half playcalls at the end

He's a lifelong Bama fan. He didn't sign with us initially because we had Reichard.

How many kickers are actually get drafted. He can go UDFA like most all other kickers

I don’t think it’s weird. The Alabama offense is mostly predicated on opponents’ coverage busts against a single read spread attack with a moderate shotgun ground attack as a counter. It’s not going to give you many long drives that can end in FG range. It’s a lot of stalls short of the 50 and then 4-5 deep scores or scramble scores per game. That’s if the defense we line up against is undisciplined and unprepared. And our o-line clicks just right. And our quarterback presents any kind of poise. Basically every offense we’ve had post Sarkisian.

Would you rather have touchdowns or field goals? I’m happy with him kicking extra points.

I'd like to see him kick 3-4 when we're comfortably up. Right now I would be a nervous wreck if he trotted out for a last second 45 yarder.

With our history with kickers it could be Adam Vinatieri and we would be nervous

Ahem. Fire everyone.

Seriously, encourage talented shitheads to transfer. Tell recruits we are opening slots for talented kids who care about contributing to a talented team. Not that hard. We can win a championship in 2-3 years. Also hire talented coordinators.
