Did Gus empty the playbook too much against Bama?

Now, just to start out with, I know that the iron bowl decided the west this year. But that being said....

I feel like Gus threw all his tricks and illusions at Bama and it ended up costing him for simply an iron bowl victory that they even rushed the field for.

I mean, win at all costs, yeah. But Kirby's defense was punching them in the mouth all game and stopping almost every little gimmick they had. Gus put too much stock into the gimmick plays to win him the Iron Bowl and pretty much fricked himself without even realizing it.

No, they just lost the benefit of the Jordan Hare voodoo that causes other teams to shite themselves for no reason.

GA owes us at least a share of that title since we took the brunt of KJ and injured himself lol

KJ not being healthy really hurt their offense, then they had a couple more important players get dinged up during the game. This was not the same team that beat Bama two weeks ago.

Playing and beating Alabama and Georgia in three consecutive games is virtually impossible this year.Injuries and familiarity with each other's playbook makes it extremely unlikely.

No, he plays like that every game. LSU does it to a less degree now with all their motions and they ran all over us.

I don't feel like Gus emptied the playbook vs us. I don't even feel like AU played their best game. They just whipped us and we shite the bed in the 2nd half. The difference was that the gimmick plays they ran vs us, it worked. They ran a few vs UGA today and it didn't work.

It's called preparation and being mentally disciplined. Past Alabama teams had it. This one didn't.

This. Harrison broke the dude's collarbone. Kerryon is a tough dude though. I give him props and hope for a speedy recover.

UGA better on the Dline + OC ran the damn ball. That's the biggest differences

They ran the same trick plays from the first game against UGA again. Just wasn't gonna work.

If KJ had gotten hurt the first drive or the first quarter of the Iron Bowl, we'd have beaten them similarly

Objectively speaking , auburn looked like a beat up gassed team yesterday. Not a lot of push up front on either side of the ball and missed tackles.

No, there were two major factors in play yesterday.

The biggest IMO, the OL could hear the QB. Both Bama and Georgia's OL were getting beat off the ball because they were having to look into the snap instead of attack their assignment.

There is no way the barn should have let Johnson play no matter how much he wanted to. He was a shell of the player we all know he is.

Carlton Davis played with a concussion the 1st half that he suffered during the IB
