Heupel will also anticipate Bama defense adjustments and have a plan B and plan C to counter. The only way I see to beat their offense is for the Bama D-line to physically own the line of scrimmage, disrupt QB timing, and create negative yardage plays and turnovers. The talent is there - not sure about the coaching and schematic preparation.

doubt if adjustments will suffice. Their running game, HUNH, QB runs, blazing WR and accurate QB with minimal drops by WR is tough to stop especially since our DLine was completely neutralized. They have found what beats saban defense and have pieces to make it successful. The only way to beat it would be reckless abandon and do the unexpected gamble get INT, sacks negative plays.

There are absolutely adjustments that can be made to keep UT from scoring that many points. Tennessee isn't some juggernaut. Most of the defenses they played this season(worse defenses than ours) gave them a significantly better fight than we did. A lot of that was because we simply would not put a corner on #11 playing man.

rocky top gave us their 'A' game. They didn't plan for Pitt or LSU like they planned for us.

That's the main point people are missing. Tenn specifically played that bunch formation for us. It was a great design especially with how wide they were lined up. While they've had a great offense all year we hadn't seen what they did schematically against us for a full game all year. The only thing different we have to do against Tenn is win 2nd down. Their main success against us was winning 2nd down and we couldn't sub in our rushers. We also have to remember Tenn had multiple drives extended from questionable penalties so it wasn't like they just walked the dog on us every drive. They also had great field position on their first three drives. Every drive that they started off from normal field position they had trouble moving the ball.

Tennessee’s offense is boom or bust. If you can make them drive 70-80 yards and not give up the big play they begin to sputter. They want short fields and live off big plays. If you make them go on 7+ play drives they don’t look as unstoppable. Our problem was we gave them short fields and then gave up the big play time after time. I fully expect Georgia to come out and hold them to around 30 because Kirby isn’t going to use that mush rush. He’s gonna harass Hooker and force him to use his legs or make him make multiple reads.

I doubt it. Kirby Smart loves the mush rush and that's one reason we had issues with mobile quarterbacks while he was here. Even in the SECCG last year he used it against Bryce and got abused.

Until the national championship where he teed off on Bryce. They also didn’t mush rush the first game. They just didn’t blitz and we blocked out of our mind. Georgia doesn’t have the pass rushers we have but they don’t mush rush a lot. They just have to get pressure from blitzing a lot of times.
