Not in this case. A Tuscaloosa city council member and the FIRE CHIEF took a story from Facebook/Twitter and told the media it was true. The media just reported what government officials stated as fact.

Now neither one of them will comment. If I were mayor the quality of the chief’s public apology would determine if he kept his job.

These stories, and I mean stories, are going to hurt our University!

After that story came out, everything about students starting school at Bama has been altered. My daughter is going to Bama and is Rushing, now they are doing Rush all virtual! Don't have any idea how that will work.

The move in dates, times, who can help, have been changed too.

My son is a junior and in the MBD has received news that the band might be changing move ins, practice, etc. He is waiting for the conformation email. I felt good about football returning when I knew the band was on schedule.

I am sorry for all theses students who are going to miss out on a lot of their college experience due to media panic.

Cecil Hurt had a column about the reporting on this BS.
Finescum pretty much asked every guest last week about the Alabama students having parties to spread the virus. He was having a real good time with it. Probably wont mention it this week.
