NCAA is supposedly handing LSU their punishment today. What's your prediction for the penalties? I think they get a light slap on the wrist instead of the nuking they deserve.

Mmm, don't know about that. The NCAA has been trying at least, to flex what muscle they have left lately with clearing folks out of the portal and some of the basketball penalties they've handed down. I would love to see LSU get bent over. Of course, those dumb coonasses would tell you all day long it was worth it.

Football deserves more than a slap on the wrist, but nothing crazy. Their basketball program should be given the most severe punishment available within NCAA bylaws. If not the death penalty then something like 8 lost scholarships over the next 3 years, a 2 year ban on off campus recruiting, restricted OVs, etc. Wade was one of the most brazen cheaters in the history of college athletics and they stood by him. They deserve to burn.

wow i'd forgotten all about their ncaa troubles. but i agree it'll proly be a light slap. this may have been a prominent reason for them hiring kelly. as far as i know he's known for running a clean program, well, as clean goes nowadays

Apparently this isn't the big investigation, this is one just tied to James Cregg recruiting illegally under the COVID restricted dead period.

The NCAA is wildly inconsistent.

They deserve a hars penalty, but since this is the NCAA and they're known for being anything other than making smart decisions, LSU will get away with a light slap on the wrist.

Hope the NCAA can get to their senses though

This ruling is from that new committee that is supposedly separated from the ncaa. They have total power and there is no appeal to what they rule. I think the former lsu ball coach will get the show cause. And they should hammer the school for lack of institutional control and letting the cheater continue to coach.

Ah my bad. Thought this was a ruling on all their infractions.

Did the NCAA do anything about the other infractions?

They'll probably get a bigger penalty for this fwiw. That's how the NCAA works these days

Slap on the wrist but I don’t think the NCAA is done with them.
