why does cowhurd hate saban so much? ever since saban arrived at bama, cowhurd has been hating on him and bama, why?

I listen to him everyday while I work. He does not hate Saban. He takes a shot every now and then, mostly when he goes off during a presser. But when creating talking points he constantly mentions Saban, Belichick, Coach K in the same thought process.

Not even a little. How can you come to this conclusion when he hasn't even been the feature back yet?
I’m not sure one has to be a featured back for someone to make an assessment of their game.

To me, it just seems like he has a little bit too much hype entering this season. I feel the same way about Moses and all the 1st team preseason all American lists he’s on.

I’ll be rooting my arse off for them to be great. And will still pull for them even if they aren’t. It’s just an opinion. Do I have to think every Alabama player is the best?

That dude is constantly talking shite because he isn't able to get attention otherwise. And I just see the bigger headlines since I quit listening to him years ago after he exposed himself over and over as being clueless.

Remember when he said Saban was scared of Harbaugh?

Or how about when he claimed Nick Saban was the problem at Alabama because we lost to Ole Miss?

And Alabama is somehow boring, despite having one of the most highly rated offenses of all time while putting up major points.

etc. Yeah he'll praise Saban when he has no choice, but ANY time he thinks he sees a way to take a shot at Saban, he takes it and goes hardcore in on it.

Cool. 3 hrs of content 5 days a week about 45 weeks a year. There isn't a single person you or I know that wouldn't eventually be wrong about something.

Im not defending the guy. Im just trying to get you guys from being so myopic.

Danielson says one negative thing - ah, that guy is horrible, he knows nothing.

Klatt says one negative thing - ah, that guy is horrible, he knows nothing.

Herbie...
GMac...he's trying to hard to be impartial.
Booger, Marcus...

Do you see a pattern?

The only people you guys can handle is a Bama beat writer. Have some self-confidence and entertain an opposite opinion every so often.

I joined the military and I fricking hate it when people try to act like they are special and should be treated special because they went into the military as millions of citizens have done. I'm just a regular ole person like everyone else at the end of the day.

I think that pretty much applies to you as well. Stop pretending you are special and somehow deserve something for it, you aren't and don't.

This post is a load of bullshite. So it's impossible for any complaints to be valid and anyone who does so is being nearsighted.

Cowherd isn't just making bad predictions, he's actively trying to upset people for the benefit of ratings. He isn't credible, period.

Only problem I know of with Danielson is that he harps on things too much.

Klatt is along the same lines of Cowherd. And you can throw Clay Travis in there as well. All trolls.

Do you think Danny Kanell is legit as well? Or are you able to recognize that he also tries to make his living with hate and hot takes?

GMac does in fact try to hard to come off as impartial and says dumb things as a result. But I still like the guy in general, I just don't find him credible when he talks about Alabama.

Herbie I like, not sure what the complaint is with him.

100% blow me for your assumptions.

Well maybe he's getting more hyped that I know of. I honestly quit watching all those "experts" years ago. They say the same things every year and just switch the person they are hyping out like it's madlibs.

We could probably make a list of Trent Dilfer saying X QB is the best he's ever worked with etc. Every year it's someone new.

But as far as being a 5 star RB and all that, then I'm not sure what's expected. He's averaging over 6 yards a carry and hasn't lost a fumble once in nearly 200 carries thus far in his career.

Last year he ran for over 700 yards while being 3rd on the depth chart, behind 2 RBs that just got drafted - 1 of them in the 1st round.

Seems like he's been a great teammate who has been patient and who does what's asked of him. I don't see him in the news for negative reasons.

The only thing that stands out is he hasn't been taking many receptions out of the backfield. I'm not sure how good his pass blocking is either, as I don't normally pay a whole bunch of attention to such things unless it just really sticks out(probably for bad reasons).

So I just don't understand what more could be expected from him at this point. He's been a great addition to the team.

as for these guys, i like all of them, except for klatt. i havent listened to him enough to form an opinion.

but to me, cowhurd isnt like any of these guys. he's more like a guy that tried out for the team in school, but had a coach similar to saban. that coach either cut him or benched him and he's still mad today. he vents his held onto frustrations at saban as a way of getting back at that coach. but hey, thats jmo.

I listened to Cowherd enough to know he's simply a textbook radio "shock jock". He says whatever rocks the boat and riles people up. I don't believe he ever personally believes anything he says. Years ago, I'd hear him say some pretty strong stuff about team A, then back off it completely when interviewing coach of Team A. Cowherd is just an act. Don't fall for it.

1. I'll pass. Go check at the OT, you may find a taker.
2. I wasn't pointing directly at you although by replying to your post and me not clearly wording I see how that got off the rails. I was inferring more to the people in general who get all pissy whenever something negative about Alabama is said, and every single time...and we have a bunch of those types. Hell, we had several getting all bent out of shape at Cecil when he was implying something may be up with Anoma before his transfer.
3.

Didn’t say I was special, just that I have a strong connection to both Alabama (born in Tuscaloosa, UA alumnus and letterman) and Dabo (played three years for him; one for McCorvey, who has a desk job at CU; and some connection to Danny Pearman).

Given that, I don’t think it’s hard to understand why I find the Bama-Clemson rivalry compelling. I have deep ties to both sides.

That's some funny shite right there.

There's obviously a lot about college football you don't get.
