I get the Harsin dissatisfaction, but they screwed themselves and dug a deeper hole with this ugly airing of their dirty laundry.

Step 1: Use useful idiots like Butterteeth Marshall to spread rumors of extramarital affairs and mistreatment of staff and players

Step 2: Conduct a sham investigation to give the appearance of a neutral inquiry

Step 3: Fire Harsin for cause and issue a vague statement about his failure to abide by unspecified university protocols or "uphold Auburn values".

Step 4: Quickly negotiate a settlement that pays him pretty much all of what he is owed, but on the condition that he sign an NDA

Step 5: Hire someone like Kevin Steele or Rodney Garner and let the NIL money flow freely for a couple of years before they "step down" to free up a talented roster for a good coach to come in and win with immediately

This is how I see the next 2-3 years shaking out for our friends in the shittiest little village on the plains.

Or maybe they hire Hugh Freeze.

Sounds like Harsin's gravest offense was not getting with the program as far as the NIL and their typical bagman shenanigans.

I really believe UGA winning a title has them shook. They are used to Bama winning and having to take it but UGA is a different matter. Combine that with Aggy signing the best class money can buy, Nick and Kirby raping and pillaging the best in-state prospect haul in decades and leaving them with scraps, Harsin not getting on-board with the NIL/bagman scheme is a capital offense.

According to some of the Auburn fans, it sounds like Harsin put Bo Nix back in with a broken ankle. Apparently the xrays at the tent didn't show the break. Pat Nix didn't like Harsin and is causing a lot of the issues behind the scenes along with the gobn.

How can you fire someone for an affair and then hire Freeze?

Auburn way Although Harsin isn't really being fired for an affair, it wouldn't stop them from trying to hire Freeze.

He’s not going to be fired because of an affair but all of it started with it, it’s just crazy really. The fans are like he’s had an affair, run players off, not recruited well, but let’s hire a guy who had stripper’s on speed dial (he’s ok, he beat Saban twice). Hell the guy they are trying to run off almost beat Saban with a bad team.

I think Harsin is a good coach x and o wise but needs to get better established in SEC country for recruiting. Really if he makes it through all of this and they give him a couple of years Auburn will be in a better place.

This is the kind crap that happens when big donors are messing around. There's so much doubt about Harsin's future there now that it'll be next to impossible for him to get and keep good assistants and players.

You're right, it's pretty crazy.

Those guys better have a good Plan B although I doubt it. I mean they have effectively crippled him at this point. There is a stellar in-state recruiting class coming up that he could have benefitted from had they played their cards right....guys who might have a legit interest in AU even over Bama or UGA or others and he could have sold his vision and immediate playing time. He could have capitalized on that and built a foundation...... but now everyone will be using this against him in recruiting.

I think Harsin would be very smart to come coach for CNS. He doesn't need to be rehibilated, but did need to learn how to recruit, build relationships, and how to push the big boosters away from the team without making them feel unimportant so they stop giving donations.

Not saying I want him for a position, just that his biggest faults seem to be some of CNS's strengths.

I suspect the meddlers who've conspired to get Harsin fired might've already targeted Freeze and determined that he's interested.
