We can't compete with the NIL money. Mark Cuban is pouring money into their program. Sales is taking the bag and going to a program that just won it all last year.

Cignetti is playing a dangerous game of relying on a transfer QB to be his starting QB every season. It's worked out so far with Rourke and Mendoza, but if they "miss" on the QB they've targeted due to poor play or injury they are gonna be in trouble.

They ought to be happy and just enjoy the ride…sure they are considering where they were.

Looking at their schedule, even their conference schedule is pretty weak. T

9/25 Northwestern at IU (Northwestern is pretty mediocre, probably a 6-6 or 5-7
team)

10/3 At Rutgers (another mediocre team)

10/10 At Nebraska (another mediocre team)

10/17 OSU at home (probably the only team that beats IU this year)

10/24 At Michigan (could be a trap game, coming off an emotional/physical game vs OSU?)

10/31 Minnesota at home (another perrennial 6-6 team)

11/14 USC at home (Is there a more under performing coach in America than Lincoln Riley?)

11/21 Washington at home (another perrennial 6-6 or 7-5 team)

11/28 Purdue at home (Will be absolute carnage, Purdue is terrible)

So, IMO, they really only have one, maybe two games they have a shot at losing.

All this fig has to do is win 8-10 games over the next 5 seasons before he retires.... he can't lose!
