We definitely want a Kyle Pitts type TE, we just haven’t found it yet

Simpson will be the QB.

Just signed a stud freshman safety that could start right away.

Got the receiver from the junior college ranks.

Bama is pretty solid at LB with Turner, Braswell and Lawson. Did sign a junior college LB that could help out immediately.

Players aren't the problem. The OC and DC are the problems.

He had a decent year as the backup TE.

Their senior starter actually led the team in receptions and yards.

Looks like he played in 4 games, caught 9 passes for 129 yards and 1 TD (14.3 YPC). He had 3 catches for 40 yards against UNC.

Kyle Pitts is a unicorn. Everyone wants one.

It's why I was so high on Nyckoles Harbor in this class, but interest just didn't seem to be there on one side or the other or both. He's a freakish talent with great size and athleticism.

"The top contenders to get him include South Carolina, Michigan, Maryland, LSU, Miami and USC. Both Rivals and 247 Sports are predicting he’ll go to South Carolina, while on3’s model is projecting it’ll be Michigan."

I watched some of their games this morning. The fast versions. He blocks incredibly well. I’m excited about that.

And the Dippre guy looks to be pretty damn athletic.

You saw him jump over one person and decided he is athletic. He will have to be schemed open like every other TE we have. OJ Howard is the one big time TE target coming out of high school we ever had imo.

Nyckoles Harbor

I think he wants to run track more than football. I. believe i read that a while ago

Some of this is definitely on the players. Do you not remember the amount of penalties and dumb plays we had. Still dont understand Q. Robinson trying to pick that ball up vs Tennessee.

Read that as well. I'm sure whoever gets him is contingent on him being allowed to pursue both.

It's crazy thinking of a 6'5", 230lb+ 17 year old running a 10.22 100 m and 20.95 200m.

He also played a lot on defense, haven't heard if he has a preference between offense or defense.

That’s still on the coaches. “You’re either coaching it or allowing it to happen”

You may have a couple of dummy’s on the team, but you certainly have 11 smart enough to know their job and not do stupid shite. So you coach that out of them or find someone who can do it right. Roster full of 5 stars, one of em is smart enough to not touch the punt lol

I think Harbor is going to be an Edge and Bama focused on Keeley. I think if he was more open to playing TE there might have been more interest.

That would make a lot of sense.

Harbor has talked about preferring offense so he doesn't have to bulk up as much to the point it would affect his track career.

Players will play as they are coached. He received very little good coaching, like most all of our players this year.

Let's remember that Pitts had 3 receptions as a True Freshman backup his first year at UF. Niblack has elite potential. BADLY needed to gain weight and mass.

If what you are saying is true why do yall onky give the OC and DC shite? Why not say Saban since they are "allowing it to happen". He ultimately makes the final call on whats what.

I don't see many tight ends leaping clean over defenders on a full sprint downfield. You think that play was just a fluke or something?

Irv Smith and Billingsly were obviously athletic TEs that didn't have to be schemed open every time they caught the ball. Sure, Billingsly tanked after 2020, but that doesn't change the facts.

Billingsly wasnt special. He was on the field with Smitty, Waddle, and Metchie. He made some nice plays dont get me wrong but he not even a true TE. WRs are bigger.
