I think in todays age of the Transfer portal and NIL you need guys on the roster that are willing to put the work in and are coachable so that if someone leaves for whatever reason the next man up is already there.

Saw on a You Tube channel they have Barnett listed at 214 lbs, which is good size (if true). Doesn’t have elite speed but good speed and has excellent vision and cutback ability. Would be a very nice addition.

Think you’re right…this staff seems to be pulling in a lot more “under the radar” type of guys to camp/personal workouts to look at.

Morgan has a good history and rep as a talent evaluator at Mich and Wash. Some of Mich’s ballyhooed championship D was unheralded and evaluated by Morgan.
Also, DeBoer knows what he wants on O.
Morgan said at the outset that Alabama would pay no attention to rankings (IMO, thankfully) thus, taking some lower ranked kids.
We will just have to wait and see.

Saban found some diamonds in the rough in his time but often they would get re-evaluated by the recruiting agencies into late-cycle 4-stars. Guys like Kareem Jackson and Josh Jacobs only stuck as 3-stars because they were super late offers and commits.

Just judging by Barnetts commitment video I'm just guessing Morgan probably committed on his visit and we are just waiting for him to announce.
