Well that’s a wasted offer.

Not necessarily. Nussmeier family has been all over the country and probably have no great affinity towards a program just because their older son is at one. They've been steeped in the very mercenary-like nature of college coaching...

Predicting where the top uncommitted RBs in the 2026 Rivals250 will sign

quote:

Ezavier Crowell

A weekend visit to Auburn where Crowell spent good amount of time with coach Hugh Freeze and position coach Derrick Nix could change things, especially since the coaches there talked about Auburn being RBU and how they want to keep local kids in-state.

But Alabama has the edge in Crowell’s recruitment and it might be tough to overcome to land the Jackson, Ala., standout who recently reclassified to the 2026 class.

Crowell, who had 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns this season, was at the Iron Bowl this season – a two-touchdown win for the Crimson Tide – and he’s expected back in Tuscaloosa this weekend for junior day. That could be one of the final touches in his decision-making process.

Prediction: Alabama

Recruiting Rumor Mill: Buzz continues to flow from massive weekend

quote:

Ezavier Crowell

The high four-star running back from Jackson, Ala., recently reclassified to 2026, which moves up his recruitment significantly and he’s coming off an important visit to Auburn.

The message from coach Hugh Freeze and position coach Derrick Nix is that they’re building something special on The Plains and that Auburn is RBU. The problem for the Tigers is that the chatter centers around Crowell favoring Alabama at this point.

Zyan Gibson

The four-star Alabama cornerback commit visited Auburn this past weekend as the Tigers look to flip him. The message was how much they wanted him on The Plains and how much of a priority he is to the program.

Getting to Auburn’s basketball thriller over Tennessee was also big, but the word is that the Gadsden (Ala.) Gadsden City standout remains very locked in with the Crimson Tide.

Kamhariyan Johnson

Alabama and Auburn will put up a fight to keep the three-star defensive end from Muscle Shoals in-state. Tennessee made a big impression and LSU recently offered.

But now Oklahoma is very much in the picture for Johnson. He loved how the coaches made him feel like family in Norman, he loved watching them coach and he hit it off with position coach Miguel Chavis.

Things went so well that Johnson is planning to return for the spring game and an official visit.

Vance Spafford

The four-star receiver from Mission Viejo, Calif., remains happily committed to Georgia but a source said some new developments in his recruitment has him “thinking.” Alabama offered in recent days as the Crimson Tide have done a great job recruiting top West Coast prospects.

Also, Spafford will visit USC this weekend as the Trojans work to flip him.

From the article:

However, Garror is still receiving plenty of attention from other colleges as well. Georgia offered him Tuesday morning.

“It’s Alabama right now, but I’m still listening,” he said. “My recruitment is open.”

Chuck is a really good player. You can pretty much bank it that the majority of players from Mater Dei will be very good college players. Hope we can keep the MD pipeline going.
