5 straight wins in the Iron Bowl. Auburn should focus on getting above .500 again on their fifth go at it in 2025.

You mean like every other team in CFB? GTFOH with your bull shite

I have one thing to say about those video clips. They are all from the PAST. This discussion is centered around the future. In a nutshell, we’re gonna find out if the Yellawood spending spree pays off as barners hope it will.

He's had 4 years of NIL and Auburn hasn't finished .500 in any of those seasons. There are so many things to be concerned about w/r/t Alabama's future but I don't think Auburn is one of the chief ones right now.

At least Bama has a past. The Boogs ran their mouth for ten years yelling, “punt Bama punt.” Meanwhile Bama was reeling off nine straight wins. But the Boogs could only cleave to that game in 72. But if Alabama refers back to a single play with in the last two years, we are living in the past. What a delusional fan base.

Correct. And in-state/regional recruiting is a pretty big part of that. The South produces more elite football talent per capita than any other part of the country. This staff needs to re-establish some sort of foothold in order for Alabama to be successful going forward. And nobody can deny "NIL's" role in this, for better or worse. And for me, there is no "better" in the equation. Thus, my waning interest.

For someone with a waning interest in college football, you sure spend a lot of time posting about college football.

You must have missed my posts about the primary reason I lurk here. Unless there are dramatic and meaningful changes brought about, more and more people will come around to my way of thinking. Meanwhile, I am monitoring it.....
In the meantime, I'm sure that Oregon fans, Texas fans, OSU fans, Michgan fans, and to a lesser extent even barn fans will be enjoying this period in CFB history.

But you’re not lurking. You’re continually posting your doom and gloom BS trying to convince people that Alabama football is in a death spiral.

Okay chief! Glad you’re on the case

Yep. It reminds me of the kick six. If you talk to a boog they act like the play happened last Saturday. It was over 12 years ago. But they cling to it like it’s their birthright.

I don’t keep up with recruiting like I use to but my understanding was that the targets Alabama wanted from the 2025 class in the state didn’t even go to Auburn. We lost them to out of state programs that are two of the top buyers in the sport.
Again, Auburn is not our problem. If everyone is a mercenary, I’ll take a better player from New Jersey than a slightly worse player from Alabama if it is all the same. The goal is to win the national not the state.

Ridiculous how this troll and the other Auburn fan have derailed this thread. The moderators need to do their job and ban them. Enough already.

Being pessimistic is not a ban worthy offense, friend.
Should we ban all the sunshine pumpers as well?

No. But it’s clear that there are two Auburn trolls who have derailed the thread. Anyone with a functioning brain can see what the two individuals are doing.

They can't derail the thread if you don't engage with them.
Pretty simple to just ignore them and respond to posts that you agree with.

My goodness, anyone who doesn't think UA athletics isn't top o' the heap in everything is an Auburn troll. (sigh)

Wtf is all this yapping about Auburn? They can't even get above .500 and cling to winning recruiting in the state that is a pretty weak class. They went from Gus Malzahn, to potato farmer who couldn't make it two full seasons, back to a HC that is basically Malzahn but with pedo problems. Auburn threw around a lot of money once they got Freeze but the results on the field aren't paying off, they're closer to firing yet another coach than they are being a threat to Alabama.
As for the whole death spiral of college athletics, yeah the game is different today, and mostly not for the better for fans. Continuing to post doom and gloom about the landscape almost every day doesn't really contribute to anything.
