God if he flips I hope he's not a headcase like his brother. Trequon's already at his third school in three years

We are going to have to rely on developing the fringe 4*/3* kids that actually wants to play and be developed. The 5* and high 4* kids will all go to whomever pays them more. It sucks but it is what it is. I have no problem with NIL but the guard rail of true endorsement deals should have been out in place. If it were true endorsement deals the chaos wouldn't be as great

Was injured for most of the season. Only played a little over 100 snaps. 8 receptions.

Are you saying we won’t sign 4 and 5 star players due to NIL?

i dont think we will have the classes we are familiar with because what they are looking for is different than what we look for. Also remember C. Morgan saying that rating dont mean much or something along those lines. Like the Mich State rb. I just dont see how or why he is a take based on film.

Flipping Star and Feagans at the last would be hilarious.

Aren't the Barners expected to flip Offord though?

According to Offord's dad, OSU has the greatest DB Coach to ever teach a back pedal so it is clearly an impossibility

What keeps someone from buying them out from under you after you've put in the time, effort, and expense of developing them into valuable players? It seems like the sport has to trend towards contractual obligations to curtail rampant NIL tampering. Just like coaches, make the buyout too steep to make tampering feasible. This opens up unionization, etc., but there doesn't seem to be any other path forward.

We keep going after fringe 3 and 4 stars we’ll end up a fringe program. Unless something changes with NIL, transfers and agents that is going to be our future. Money is undefeated.

Didn’t Wiltfong crystal ball Offord to Awbarn.

What about our current recruiting class makes y'all say this? One 5 star potentially flipping? We still have an elite class without Haywood. And we seem to be flipping several high 4 stars like Meadows, Fegans, and Starr. Relax.

Every year the problem will get worse. Most of the groundwork of this years class may. gave been done by Saban. Remember the Barners were claiming most of our top players will not sign with us? Well that has happened to a certain extent. 2 5-stars at least 2 high 4-stars have deserted.
In state recruiting is kinda like the probation days. Not saying the sky is falling just that it’s going to get more and more difficult each year. We have a name brand that will attract a few elite players but not in the numbers we are used to.

I think winning ultimately will fix all of that. DeBoer needs to win games and send kids to the NFL and he has a recruiting pitch.

Hah the math doesn’t math on this. Class of 27 is already off to a great start. The other 5* tackle we have in this class is BECAUSE of the new staff as well as a few others like Duke.
Every team is losing players due to NIL it’s not limited to bama or this staff. OSU and Texas for examples. Bama will continue to be in the top 5 classes as long as they keep winning period
