You slow or something?

I think Portnoy is a giant assbag but that doesn’t dissuade from the fact that he’s openly stated how he’s willing to pay millions to ensure Michigan gets top level talent yearly. And he can do that on the company NIL dime.

You and anyone else who thinks Portnoy solely paid $10-12 million for Bryce Underwood are absolute morons who buy into any snake oil a salesman will sell you.

It's called self-promotion you imbecile and that guy you're worshipping is the king of it.

Not saying he didn't donate but he didn't do this by himself or fund it by himself. Be serious

Gotta say it's pretty murky waters going forward. They really gotta put some regulations down or the highest bidder is just gonna get every top recruit going forward.

Supposedly our coaching staff refuse to get into NIL battles. So they won’t really have to overpay for him either if we just bow out

That's $2.625 million per year. Portnoy said he'd pay two or three million for one. He didn't buy this one, though. Someone else stepped up with the bulk of it.

It's childishly naive of you to think that there aren't people out there who would contribute a couple of million for a star player, though. A single billionaire completely distorts a market where most schools don't have one. Michigan has about a dozen of them.

It was Larry Ellison, according to the Michigan NIL collective

Do you mean Larry Page?

Larry Ellison went to Illinois and isn't that big a football fan as far as I know. He's the yachting type.

No it’s that Larry Ellison. Michigan collective made a twitter post personally thanking him. That’s college football now

A&M showed how successful buying a recruiting class is a few years ago. If money was the end all be all then A&M, Texas, Oregon, Arky, etc. would have a title in the last decade. They don't. I'm not overly concerned about programs dropping bags.

You’re including Arkansas with them? What? Texas A&M was a disaster but Oregon, Ohio state, Miami, Texas look pretty good with their bought rosters. Auburn sucks arse and is recruiting well with their bought roster. Nick saban isn’t walking that sideline anymore and most kids aren’t going to take a discount these days. You should be worried about people buying rosters because it isn’t going to stop.

No, Larry Ellison. The Oracle founder

I have no clue why he's donating either

Wait till it starts hitting us in a way like it is hitting LSU this year and it will happen. In today’s world the Billionaire class Is buying up everything and there is not much we can do about it. If rules aren’t changed many big names in football will go under especially the Southern schools.

Exactly my point.

Who disagreed with this? My point wasn't that there couldn't be a single person to buy a player.

My point was Portnoy didn't, he loves the self-promotion and loves to lie about how he is the one doing things all himself. He lied last year about Colorado as well.

I'm sure he donated just like others donated. He didn't go and buy this kid by himself like he is trying to insinuate for clout.

Nobody said he solely paid for Bryce's deal ya dumbass. You are completely out of touch if you think he didn't have some influence on this on both a monetary and social media push aspect. Hell, look at the tweet you linked below.

Also, it's equally stupid to think Barstool and Portnoy don't have influence right now. They're probably the biggest sports presence there is for people under 30.

You are pathetic. You can't even own the dumb crap you say.

Here let me remind you.

quote:

You might want to go look at how much Portnoy is worth and he would personally drop a bag just to troll other fanbases

So you did say Portnoy solely "dropped the bag".

Also your reading comprehension is the level of a 4th grader because I have said multiple times I'm sure he donated something and has helped in small ways; which he confirmed.

He literally co-signs every post I made on this and makes you look like some hurt fanboy.

Like I said before you're some kid who worships him and can't comprehend he uses situations like these to talk himself up for cheap clout.

He literally admits it in a tweet I posted yet you're too stupid to stand down. You're too proud to admit you're wrong.

The Tyson family just went out and basically bought Kentucky's basketball team, coach and all, and brought it to Arkansas. So yes I included them among the schools with wealthy boosters.

Derek Meadows (LSU WR commit) is back on our radar. BOL indicating that sources close are going as far as saying it will be a Bama/Michigan battle and he isn’t expected to sign with LSU
