The one guy on their board who actually seems to have concrete knowledge of their recruiting says they've secured enough NIL cash from the big guys to pay for a #1 class this year and next,
No way they have more than OSU or Texas. If a guy gets $1M from multiple schools but only some of those schools have more proven coaching staffs, he's going to go to those schools. If AU has their 4th straight losing seasons they are going to have a really hard time bringing in recruits when they are competing with the other schools that have the money and proven track record.
They are also for sure going to have a bunch of guys transferring out after this year if they have another losing season. Same thing happened to A&M's monster no.1 class.

Anytime they ask me to donate at the credit card swipe at CVS, I tell the person behind the counter I already decided what I spend my money on, past date Christmas candy, Nyquil, Arizona Ice Tea, Condoms and a USB Cable that doesn't work. If they want to cure breast cancer they can do that with their own money.
Dude funniness aside, that’s one of my biggest pet peeves because these corporations take those donations and use the for tax write offs. So yes people are doing a nice thing by “rounding up” but we’re basically subsidizing their write offs with donations and it should be illegal.

This is correct but it all comes down to the really great schools having a set amount they are willing to pay and schools like Auburn overpaying. OSU or Texas have an idea of what each prospect is worth and don’t go completely overboard.
It’s like in basketball with BYU offering Dybantsa 6 million in NiL. It’s stupid because that isn’t going to win them a championship. But as they say in free agency “it only takes one a-hole gm to run the price up”

We have one post with actual recruiting information in it on this page.
Y'all better be glad Surge isn't around.
I'd have 50 texts from him by now.

If I start a CVS charity complaint thread can we sticky it?
Ok my bad. Back to recruiting everyone!

Not necessarily. Y'all aren't looking at this from the right perspective. A lot these kids value you money over winning. Some of them wouldn't give a damn if they didn't win a single game in college as wrong as they got their money that was promised to them. To a lot of tej to players in every recruiting class, money matters theost and that just how it is. Not only do they care more about it, their parents definitely care more about it.

Can he rush the passer or play in the secondary? If not, move on to more of a position of need please.

The last few years have made me wonder if we would have a really good DL if we had Reggie White, Bruce Smith, and Aaron Donald all in their primes out there. Somehow some way, we would coach them into eating up... err... being eaten up by blocks out there.

Freddie Roach being retained seems very much like a transitional hire, because his product on field isn't a great selling point. It helped stop the bleeding at the time. He's a good guy and is a decent recruiter, but Bama can certainly do better.
Hopefully KDB having a year under his belt at Bama will give more him familiarity with players/recruits/HS coaches to analyze his initial hires to make improvements...

KDB is busy testing out the Archibalds/Full Moon/Dreamland debate we all settled long ago.

Really wish we could trade Roach for Bo Davis at LSU. Davis has LSU’s talent-lacking DL playing significantly better this year compared to last year.
Agreed - Roach seems like a good dude, is a decent recruiter, and was apparently key to maintaining the roster following saban’s departure. But Alabama can definitely, and should, do better than Roach as DL coach at this point.

Some of our commitments are visiting other schools this week. Really hope we can hold on to them.
Alabama 5-star CB commit Dijon Lee will visit Georgia this weekend.
Alabama 5-star WR commit Caleb Cunningham will visit LSU this weekend

No doubt our rivals are pitching the "smelling blood" line to our commits. That was a BAD loss. In this NIL era and the uncertainty surrounding our program, lots of fans won't have any fingernails left by the time NSD rolls around.

And yet, idiots on this site say it is no different than losing to Georgia
