Interesting considering his size. But Ingram was shorter too.

He's ranked #33 overall by 247 and #39 overall by ESPN for the Class of 2025.

One comparison I saw was Tyreek Hill.

ETA:

quote:

Bone also had an opportunity to speak with someone close to Rogers about his skill set. The source had high praise for Rogers, even saying that he could be “a lot like Tyreek Hill” if he focused on playing receiver.

“He’s explosive and strong as [you know what],” he said. “He has freaky athleticism. He’s a lot stronger than people think. Breaks a lot of tackles. He can run, he can catch. He runs like a power back who was shot out of a cannon.”

BOL poster on watching Rogers in person:

quote:

I watched this kid play against Wetumpka last year... Single handedly beat them. He knew he was getting the ball, Wetumpka knew he was getting the ball, the lady working the concession stand knew he was getting the ball, and there was absolutely nothing that could be done to stop him. I don't know what his track/40 times are, but he is the fastest kid I've seen play in person in a long time.

From his 247 page:

NFL potential, especially with his long speed as he already owns a laser-timed 4.48 in the 40-yard dash.

In limited sophomore track reps, posted 100-meter times of 11.29 and 11.34 in March 2023.

Alabama 5A state qualifier as a freshman in the 100 and 200 meters.

Ran a wind-aided 10.77 100, plus wind-legal 11.09 and 11.10. Ran 200-meter times of 22.43, 22.59, and 22.63 in Spring 2022.

We apparently landed an OL commit.

Joesph Ionata. I don’t know anything about him.

Touchdown Alabama on the commitment

His junior highlights are embedded. Dude is physical. Seeks out to punish someone even if he's out of the play.

BOL said yesterday he is being recruited as a Center even though he plays Left Tackle for his school.

He was recruited to his private school to play baseball and only picked up football 3 years ago.

He's gained 30 pounds over the last year and is now 6'4" 295 lbs.

Would have been nice for him to hold off for a while. But, it sounds like we've been all aboard the George McIntyre train for a good while now. And appear to be in good shape there despite the publicly held view of Clemson being in front.

Sark might be back at Bama by the time this kid is able to sign. Don’t know why 2025 kids are committing now.

Can’t, still have nightmares about delayed linebacker blitzes.

Seriously though don’t know how to.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sark is back in Tuscaloosa.
