If one of the 2 battling it out does not win the job I would rather have a transfer QB with experience sitting in the #2 spot. Especially if the OC is comfortable with him.

This makes a lot of sense.
With both current 1 & 2 being dual threat, either could easily miss time. Also either could transfer if they lose the job.
Finally, he might just turn out to be our best option. Many great QBs take a bit to reveal themselves as such.

Between the QB battle, coaching turnover and transfer portal it doesn't feel like much recruiting info has been out there about Bama targets. I really haven't looked at the top recruits overall much.
