It's on Thursday I believe.

Saw some tweets from last night's practice and Keelon Russell looks huge. Put on some good weight.

AK Dear and Michael Carroll decided not to play in it.

With regard to the Twitter post directly above, I fully believe that CKD probably did tell Russell that.

But that also causes me to harken back to what he said to the media before the season. In paraphrasing, it went something like this:

“We have four QBs who can really sling it, and we can win with any four of them.”

Considering that take, I am left wondering if that was meant to prop up these guys’ egos and confidence, or is he really that poor of a QB coach and evaluator? One of those guys is already off to BC.

I wonder if '26 GA TE Kaiden Prothro, the top performer on that list, is of any relation to Tyrone?

It's not a super common last name and Bowdon, GA is fairly close to Heflin...

This is behind a paywall, so the most I can see is:

quote:

To answer a common question quickly: no, Kaiden is not the son of former Alabama wide receiver Tyrone Prothro. Kaiden's father Clarence "Pop" Prothro was, however, a three-sport athlete at Bowdon High School in the early '90s before playing baseball at Jacksonville State.

Everyone the Georgia Bulldogs offered last week

Thanks

I didn't think it was his dad, but they still kinda left that door open to be related.

Clarence Prothro played baseball at Jax State, so it's just another potential tie. He's a big UGA fan though, so I'm sure it'll be a battle especially with how well they sell their TE spot.

Russell is not starting next year

And if you think a true freshman starting next year improves on 9-4, boy I have a bridge to sell you

If we have to start a true freshman at QB, no matter how talented, we're in trouble. Be the #2...get adjusted to college...and be ready to tear it up in '26 and '27.

If KR comes out of spring ball as the leader in the clubhouse to start in 2025, it means one of two things(or both?)

- Russell is as good or better than advertised

- the evaluation/development of the other QBs has been abysmal. The fact that none of them could get on the field this season is a possible indication of this one.

If Keelon Russell isn't an immediate improvement over Milroe, we need to throw him in the portal

The Under Armor AA Game kicks off at 3 CST on ESPN2.

The Georgia-Notre Dame game kicks off at the same time.

Well, shite.

Dakorien Moore just took back a punt 84 yards for a TD so Keelon loses a drive opportunity.
