LINK ]Bama commit Shane Lee makes strides as ILB, set for early enrollment (BOL- VIP)
4-star ILB LINK ]Shane Lee 6-1/240 MD hudl
Lee moved from OLB to ILB this season and has gained valuable experience as the D-front play caller and leader. He will OV for the MSU game and UV for the Iron Bowl. He's quietly one of the best commits we have in this class.

would like to see him shed what appears to be about 15 lbs of not great weight and replace it with 5 lbs of good weight. Has a ton of potential and ability if he can up his speed/quickness.

Lee is seriously muscled up already and muscle tissue is heavy. Cochran can adjust his workout and diet to reduce his body fat percentage and weight by 10-12 lbs pretty quickly. Some kids eat too much "junk" food and cutting that way back gets fast results.

Yea, I don't think dropping 10 or 15lbs will be an issue.

I was a bit suspicious, but he performed extremely well at 7 on 7 all-star camps in pass coverage so he's still very athletic/rangy at his current build.
I agree though, I assume he's a kid that enters the program at a slightly higher weight than when he leaves (unless for some reason he get's moved to Jack which is doubtful based on height).

If the Riley to the Browns rumors pan out, are there any recruits we want and can scoop up? Or any our rivals will benefit from?

I don't think that will happen. I don't really know about their recruits

We were in for Wease and Henderson the two WRs but I think that was it. Either way I think the OU guys are solid, I don't see thier elite prospects jumping ship.

Only team in the nfl worse than the Browns are the 49ers smh.

That kid is going to be good. Looking at Shanes film he moves so well for his size.

The Bills and the Cardinals are worse than the Browns, but the Niners are probably worse than all of them.

Carlton, I sent you some positive thoughts last night after the Red Sox won the series

NFL would be crazy to go after Riley this soon. Let the man coach for at least five years. Some poor gm is about to get Chip Kellied.

Thanks bro. I'm lucky, I have been traveling for work a lot so I've avoided most of it. She works with a lot of Red Sox fans though, so I'm hoping she is still employed when I talk to her tonight

I didn't realize the Lincoln Riley rumors were because the Browns had fired Hue Jackson today. And they made Bountygate Gregg Williams the interim head coach. There must be a prize for worst run franchise they are trying to win. Wow.

quote:I have no inside info - just going by internet posts - but numerous LSU "insiders" think Sopsher is Bama's. Kids are different, some care more than others about what the home folks think. The LSU crazies are becoming more and more unhinged about losing Louisiana kids to Bama. 7 Louisiana players will start for Bama on Sat: 5 on D: Buggs, Moses, Surtain, S. Smith, Carter; 2 on O: D. Smith, I. Smith. That's not counting Mathis, Allen, Bulovas, et al. or the recent past with Lacy, C. Robinson, Sims, Duvall, Collins, T. Williams, Hootie, et al. Their resentment is understandable.
I am mainly referring to the posts that insinuate he is committed or is a “lock”to Bama. I mean I wouldn’t put anything past our staff and their abilities but LSU feels good about him as well. According to him he stays in contact with O more than any other coach is all I am saying . Like I say hope he comes

Only chance Alabama had to beat LSU was paying the ref to make White sit out one half of a game? That makes perfect sense to a 18 year old I guess?

The Browns franchise is owned by the wealthy and corrupt Haslam family that owns Flying J & Pilot. One family member is Governor of TN and they're also very powerful on the UT BOT. They run the Browns program horribly and have been (and remain) instrumental in UT's political power playing and all the resulting disfunction within their administration, athletics, etc. The ongoing political and administrative mess at UT is a key reason they can't attract and hire a top tier HC.

I think Kugliowski is likely to stay long term.
I agree. He spent 15 years at Mizzou and 9 at Toledo. He's not really a job hopper. He did leave Miami to come to Bama after only a couple of years, but how many coaches wouldn't?
