I like Pruitt, but Tennessee can spend eternity in the Pit of Misery.

Absolutely. I want them to be so bad for so long that fan and booster apathy sets in and they become Kentucky or Vandy. The big challenge that Pruitt has is that Tennessee isn't a national brand anymore and really hasn't been in 15 years, but regionally he's having to beat out Saban, Kirby, and Dabo for recruits and the state of Tennessee doesn't produce enough talent by itself to sustain an elite program. I think they have already gone the way of Nebraska, but their fans refuse to accept it.

At one time, we had gone that way too. I think Pruitt is a good enough recruiter to cause some problems for teams in the east. The question is whether it not he can run a program. It is very different going from a DC with tons of talent to work with to being the top guy without much in the cupboards.

I'm not suggesting they are dead forever, as thrilled as I would be to see those sorry, good for nothing sacks of shite lose every game they play in every sport for all eternity. We would still be in a world of shite if we had hired RichRod though. Hell, we may still be in a world of shite if we had hired anyone other than Saban. He brought a championship resume' with him though, so he just had to sell the program. Pruitt has to sell himself on top of selling kids on playing at a place that hasn't been nationally relevant in their lifetimes. It's not an easy job, and there is a reason they are now on their 5th coach since 2008.

I like playing a good UT team and think Pruitt may be able to improve them but will not be the answer in the long run. But the fact they brought Fulmer back serves them right and will continue to laugh at them as long as Fulmer is running that program into the ground.
I truly hope they eventually fire Pruitt and Fulmer works his way back in. That program will really hit rock bottom then.

I think we finish up with Story, Roydell Williams, and Robby Ashford (I think we ultimately offer).

JJ Peterson finally got NCAA clearance late last week and arrived at UT on Sunday. I don't fret about the guys that choose to go elsewhere, such as JJ Peterson and Quay Walker. It worked out for the better, imo. I'm glad we ended up with Ale Kaho and Jalen Moody instead of those two.

They said thanks year but we have three 5 stars and Alabama has zero of them committed yet

I’ve read this three times and still can’t decipher what you meant.

Seriously though, what are you saying, I can't make sense of it either.

Rivals100 athlete Kristian Story of Lanett (Ala.) was the first 2020 commitment for Tennessee, but after being on the Vols commitment list for five months, he has decided to re-open his recruitment.
TideSaint,
As our resident QB guru, if Story insists on QB, do you think we pursue as a QB?

I think he's trying to say "they said that (we're going to clean up in state) this year but we have none of the 3 5*s committed." Webb is starting to give me a lot of bad vibes but we never had a shot with Nix, and we will have a second opportunity to sign Pickens when he finishes up at EMCC.

I don't know who "they" are or why that matters for 2020 other than to rain on a parade I guess. We have gotten everyone we wanted in state this year except Webb, who could still commit, and Pickens who is a grades risk. The only composite 5 stars in state are Quick and Webb.
2020 we have 4 of the top 6 in state already with the possibility of signing the other 2 and the top RB in state.
Looks good to me.

I think Webb ends up at Bama. I think he's just enjoying the process. But you never know. JMO reading from the outside I'm not connected or anything for the record.

Sean's just gone back to his old ways. He's still melting over Auburn getting guys that moved up to 5stars. It's sad really. He's acting like "little brother"

You guys still pay attention to Sean.

It was spell check, damn my bad guys. Some of you were doubting jaylen waddle because of his competition in high school but those comments seem to be forgotten. I'm excited about this class, just hope we land a few big chippers
