Offense, defense, special teams, anything to help the team. Doesn't take plays off. Always plays to the whistle. Leaves it all out on the field.

Any of you fine fellas ever had your appendix taken out? My mom is 61 and having her taken out as we speak. It hasn't ruptured but it's been messed up since Tuesday night.

Prayers up for your mom. Glad it hadn't ruptured.

About 15 years ago, my wife stopped by my mother's house (she was about 60 then) to check in because she had been very sick and in a lot of pain for a few days. She had told us she had a stomach virus. When my wife got there, her skin was gray and she was sweating profusely but the pain was gone. She could barely speak but refused to go to a hospital until my father got home from out of town later that evening.

The surgeon said she was very near death from sepsis, as the inflamed appendix had ruptured sometime in the preceding days, and that she likely wouldn't survive the night.

She survived and recovered, but the moral of the story, I guess, is don't be stubborn about going to the doctor when something is clearly wrong.

Thank you. She made it through the surgery just fine. She's still high from meds, so she isn't sure if she is still hurting or not . If things go ok tonight she should get to go home in the morning.

Since word got out that Cox is pulling the plug at the end of June, the SEC Country writers have apparently quit working much, if any. There have been hardly any articles since then.

ETA: Glad your Mom is a'ight.

Kirschner does not like Chick-Fil-A and is a Yankees fan and somehow I still like him. I hope they all land on their feet soon.

I complimented Kirschner for not being a big homer (like a lot of of team-site guys are) and being pretty good about calling it like he sees it. He said, "Thanks, but tbh, I couldn't care less where the kids sign; my pay is still the same."

When was Dean supposed to commit? Im worried we dont get him but at the same time recruits get all giggly after visits. Im just surprised that a slew of CB's followed. Did something happen during that visit?

High football IQ, good fundamentals, plays the game the right way, out-hustles, someone you'd want your daughter to date.

Dean has no set decision date, but plans to sign in Dec and enroll early. There's been a lot posted about Dean since his UGA visit. If you've read it all, then you shouldn't be worried. UA still leads.

There's no "slew" of CBs for UGA, only 4: One from Steve Wiltfong, who has an impressive sounding job title (247 National Recruiting Director) but he often makes wrong CB picks, and then later changes them. But some CBers still foolishly follow suit with his CB picks. A UF mod did so on his Dean pick. And two "homer" UGA mods CBd Dean to UGA.

Tip: If you do a forum search on "Dean" you'll get all posts that contain his name. That's a pretty good way to "catch up" on posts about a recruit.

Hey Tidal, how do you see us doing over the rest of the summer with commits? Any names you expect to pop before school starts or do you have an estimate as to how many commits we may have going into the fall?

Below I listed some of the targets and their commitment timelines based on what I was able to find. Some of them may be old and obviously they are all subject to change.

TOP TARGETS ~ Commit Timelines - All dates subject to change

RB

5* RB Trey Sanders - December - LINK
4* RB Jerrion Ealy - Ole Miss Flip Target - NSD Feb. - LINK
4* RB Keilan Robinson - Wants to decide before fall but no timeline - LINK

Receivers & Tight Ends

4* WR/H/S Devonta Lee - National Signing Day Feb. LINK
4* WR/S Milton Wright - no timetable - LINK
4* WR Mycah Pittman - although articles says no timeline Pittman may commit in Sept/Oct after OV's - LINK
4* WR John Metchie - no timeline - may commit sooner than later
4* WR/S Zion Puckett - looking to decide near end of senior football season - LINK

Offensive Line

5* OC Clay Webb - likely in December - LINK
5* OT Darnell Wright - January - LINK

Defensive Line

5* DT/E Ishmael Sopsher - National Signing Day Feb.- LINK
4* DE Nathan Pickering - Currently January at the earliest - LINK
4* DT Siaki Ika - likely December - LINK

Linebackers

5* OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux - November/December after official visits - LINK
5* ILB Nakobe Dean - Likely December commitment - early enrollee LINK
4* O/ILB Mohamoud Diabate 6-4/220 (AL) - early December - LINK
4* ILB Christian Harris - end of summer/beginning of fall before senior year - LINK

Defensive Backs

3* CB Marcus Banks - Between June 30 and July 3 - LINK
4* S/WR DeMarcco Hellams - Prior to football season - BOL VIP LINK
5* S/NB Daxton Hill - possible summer commit - BOL VIP LINK

Possible Summer Commits per TidalSurge:

Fairly likely summer commits: Milton Wright, Christian Harris, Tuitele, Marcus Banks, Daxton Hill, Nick Cross, McCollough, Andrew Booth.

Might (imo) commit this summer: John Metchie, Demarcco Hellams, Keon Zipperer, Pola-Gates, Isaiah Rutherford, Nakobe Dean.

TOP TARGETS ~ Commit Timelines

Nice work!

Off the top of my head, what you posted looks right, except for Mycah Pittman. He's indicated he might commit soon after his Sep-Oct OVs.

Also, some kids saying Jan, might have agreed to announce at an early Jan AA game. It's possible they might actually commit and sign in Dec, but keep that hushed for those couple of weeks. Iirc, a few kids did that last winter. Darnell Wright and Nathan Pickering might do that.

Fairly likely summer commits: Milton Wright, Christian Harris, Tuitele, Marcus Banks, Daxton Hill, Nick Cross, McCollough, Andrew Booth.

Might (imo) commit this summer: John Metchie, Demarcco Hellams, Keon Zipperer, Pola-Gates, Isaiah Rutherford, Nakobe Dean.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Marcus Banks is an early take for Bama. John Metchie might not be either.

ETA: Thibodeaux says he'll sign in Dec and likely commit soon after his fall OVs. The Iron Bowl is tentatively his Bama OV.

No doubt on Banks, he was just on the top commitment list from the first page so I included him.
