Gattis directly relates to our recruiting. That really hurt us for Fleming.

Recruits react to Alabama assistants leaving (BamaOnLine-VIP)

This article quotes remarks from several 2020 commits (Roydell Williams, Dazalin Worsham, Carson Beck, Malachi Moore, Javon Baker) who were directly recruited by Key and Gattis. They all said their commitments to Bama aren't affected.

Eta: "From talking to kids at UA who would have potentially been effected by Locks leaving, now seeing this, it's another coaching turnover that Alabama appears to be more immune to than just about every other program. Another example as to why structure and culture, though common buzz words or phrases now-a-days, is still incredibly important." -- John Garcia

We offered a new tight end today. Might be because of James being in trouble or Smith leaving. Maybe we just wanted a new tight end Don't know his name but we offered

3* TE Kyle Patterson 6-6/234 AZ hudl

Bama offered yesterday. Other than Hank's post today that only said he's been offered, I haven't seen him mentioned on BOL.

Eta: Charlie Potter (BOL) said today that Irv Smith Jr. might stay, depending on his draft grade, and the offer might be due more to Kedrick James' suspension.

Priorities for the last few spots could be affected by whether or not Jacobs, Irv Smith and Wilson decide to stay for another season.

His senior film came out December 5th, he isn't some amazing athlete on the field to watch, but dude has solid techniques on his blocks and is tenacious with surprisingly good hands for someone who looks so uncoordinated running.

I just assumed we were tight on numbers with some big fish left . I am thinking it means we may be missing in couple targets if we feel like Williams isn’t going to stick, we should go after DJ James. Need all the Dbs we can stand

We are honestly set on Db's, these last two classes have stocked us up well, i want us to fill needs without taking random 3 stars like that TE, but if the staff thinks he can fill a need I'm for it considering how far we are going to be set back in recruiting relationships with this staff turnover.

Can’t ever have too many quality Dbs Monday made a believer out of me . With JAD injured we basically had three corners all year and two when Diggs went down . Got so tired of watching safeties like Mayden and them get abused in coverage

Fair, but also I think Monday was more of a experience problem than a depth problem. Surtain and Jobe were both just inexperienced and haven't been in the weight room that long yet. Surtain has the technique, just not the physicality. JAD would've had some of that same issue too.

We really need the scoop on Knott. I thought he was going to be a star for us. I figured he'd be all over special teams his freshman year. I'm a little hurt

Great athlete and saw him play a few high school games and thought he would be legit . Knew he had to bulk up some but I have given up hope after three years and literally no playing time . Always positive tweets though
