I get a weird feeling that both may end up playing. Having said that, I don’t think I’d bet against Beck being the eventual starter.
I refuse to get my hopes up about Beck until he signs

Man the Under Armour Game is taking it on the chin when it comes to high profile announcements. They will only have 2 announcements because Arjei Henderson postponed until Feb 6th. They have Tre'Mon Morris Brash a WDE end from Keilan Robinson's school and Shammond Cooper. One is expected to pick UCF and the other Illinois.
Early signing period really hurt them.

Dang, how are they gonna hype this up?
Posted on 1/2/19 at 10:13 pm to Cobrasize
If the one kid picks UCF you know they are going to play up the UCF is now competing with the traditional powers on the field and in recruiting angle.

We might get two new commits on Saturday. Marcus Banks appears pretty likely and Khris Bogle is maybe a 50/50-ish chance vs Miami.

It felt like down the stretch Banks was a priority even though it seemed like we were pretty full at DB.
I would love for Bogle to come but I think playing close to home is going to be too much to overcome. I hope I am pleasantly suprised. Kool, Joe and Saban might pull this one out.

Even if Bogle commits it’s still a mOnth away and the allure of home may be too much.

LINK ]Under Armour All-America Game: Five predictions (Rivals | segments)
quote:
ORLANDO, FL – The 2019 Under Armour All-America Game will kick off inside Camping World Stadium on Thursday and, like any all-star game, will come with the promise of unpredictability. That won’t stop us here at Rivals.com from taking a few guesses at what people can expect once the event gets underway. Below are five predication on what fans might see when the game begins.
UCF will pick up a commitment
![]()
LINK ]Tre’Mon Morris-Brash is set to announce his commitment during Thursday’s game, and UCF has to be seen as the heavy favorite to land the three-star defensive end. Morris-Brash has been solid in the workouts leading up to the contest and will be a nice addition for one of the nation’s best Group of Five programs. Morris could easily help a number of Power Five teams, so UCF should be thrilled with what they might be getting in the Washington D.C.-area prospect. If Morris-Brash chooses any team other than the Knights, it’ll be a massive shock.
Mississippi State pledge Nathan Pickering will make an impact
![]()
LINK ]Nathan Pickering has spent the week showing off his power and flashing a surprising level of athleticism for a defensive lineman. He proved hard to block in one-on-one drills and will likely be more of a problem for offensive guards in the game itself. Pickering is as versatile a defensive lineman as exists in this game, so it seems next to impossible that he’ll be held off the stat sheet. The unsigned Bulldog commit, who can play inside or outside, seems like a good bet to stuff the box score.

No doubt, I've said before I believe his recruitment will go until signing day, especially if he picks Bama Saturday. No way Diaz backs off him with the current state of thier recruiting. He is critical to that class.
Posted on 1/2/19 at 10:54 pm to Carlton
No doubt. But if Bogle commits to Miami, Bama may not back off either. So, it'll likely be a battle until NSD unless Bogle shuts it down after he commits.

Alfano looks like freaking Joey Bosa, and he hasn't stepped foot in Coach Cochrans weight room yet.

1. Evan Neal – 5-star OT

Neal at times has looked like a man among boys. We have to remind ourselves that he is still a kid who was playing high school football at IMG Academy just over a month ago. How Neal has transformed his body over the last couple of years is impressive, but not at impressive as his performance has been this week. It is really hard to explain. He has been that good. He likely has played himself into the discussion for the No. 1 prospect in the country.

2. George Pickens – 5-star WR
![]()
Pickens entered the week No. 3 at wide receiver, but he may be No. 1 before all is said and done. He had made his case this week. He is such a smooth receiver who glides all over the field. He has consistently created separation this week and made plays over the top. The passes that have been thrown his way have not always been sharp, so seeing him adjust to the ball was another thing that stood out.

8. Darnell Wright – 5-star OT
![]()
The highs of Wright's week of practice have been truly outstanding and the lows haven't been all that bad. His five-star status is not in question but there are a few technical issues that he will need to work out before realizing his full potential. Wright might have the best combination of size and athleticism of any offensive lineman here in Orlando. He has had success working as a tackle on the left and right side of the offensive line and as a guard.

with Ross and Jonah leaving this cycle, need Wright to maintain diversity on the Oline....LOL since it is looking like #77 will not get back to a starting spot

LINK ]All-American Bowl: Stock report from day two (Rivals | segments)
Note: Alfano checked in at the event at 6-4/275.

SAN ANTONIO – The second day of All-American Bowl practices saw both teams doing individual work before coming together for a joint practice that featured big men one-on-ones and skill position 7-on-7 competition.
STOCK UP
![]()
Antonio Alfano, 5-Star OT – For the second day in a row Alfano was among the top performers at the entire event. It seems there are times when no matter how good the player across the line from him is, Alfano just will not be stopped from getting into the backfield.
At 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds he is not the biggest defensive lineman at the event, but he does such a good job of maintaining good pad level and creating leverage that even the most polished interior offensive linemen can only hope to slow him down.
Note: Alfano checked in at the event at 6-4/275.

Siaki Ika
Wednesday’s afternoon session made it clear that there are a lot of special defensive linemen in the 2019 recruiting class and all of them are different in one way or another. Michigan signee Christopher Hinton and Alabama signee LINK ]Antonio Alfano, who had another awesome performance, have been the best two so far.
But LSU signee Siaki Ika is a massive bull-rusher who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds and might even be bigger. Clogging up the middle and commanding two blockers will be his game in Baton Rouge and he looked good on Wednesday. Washington signee Faatui Tuitele showed a nice mix of speed and power to win some reps.
Texas A&M signee DeMarvin Leal looks like a million bucks, and I love him coming off the edge. He has superstar potential at Texas A&M and he has the physical makeup to be something really special.
I thought Nebraska signee Ty Robinson and USC signee Drake Jackson were also really impressive throughout the day, and then Ohio State signee Zach Harrison and Alabama commit LINK ]Byron Young had their moments as well. Overall, the entire defensive line group on both teams is really strong.

quote:
SAN ANTONIO - With only a few unsigned players remaining, attention on said prospects has ramped up during the All-American Bowl week in San Antonio. Information can be tough to come by, but recruiting analysts Adam Gorney and Woody Wommack are on the ground in Texas and pass along the latest rumblings on five elite unsigned prospects.

Marcus Banks
Rivals250 defensive back LINK ]Marcus Banks continues to keep people guessing about which school he will announce for on Saturday, with Alabama quickly gaining momentum among those in the know in San Antonio. Banks had long looked like a lock to Texas A&M, especially after he de-committed from LSU. But Alabama’s full-court press over the last month has put the Tide in a great position to reel him in. The one wildcard could be Florida State, as Banks grew up a fan of the Seminoles and his father also played for the school.
