Per Watts and Bone, Dax Hill isn't signing early.
Watts also said he didn't plan to sign early when he was committed to Michigan and said he could change his mind about signing early. On Thurday, Hill told The Tulsa World that he's unsure if he'll sign early. Generally, Dax and his parents don't say very much to reporters.

Where the Top 25 players in 2019 class are headed, latest intel
quote:
The foundation of any successful college football program is built through recruiting and with the Early Signing Period only days away, many of the nation's top teams are in reload mode and anxious to hear from the next crop of stars making their way down the talent pipeline.
Nearly one-third of 2019's Top 25 players nationally per the 247Sports Composite rankings haven't committed yet, leading to several intense recruiting battles down the stretch between notable recruiting behemoths.
As it stands Alabama currently sits No. 1 nationally, just ahead of Georgia and Texas A&M inside the Top 5. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have secured verbal commitments from two five-stars and are hoping to land a few more. The Bulldogs lead all programs nationally with four five-star commitments at this time.
A few days out from the start of the signing period, here's a look at where the Top 25 players in the 2019 class are headed and what we're hearing from the ones who haven't decided just yet:

Absolutely, especially since we'll only have 4 RB on the roster next year if Jacobs leaves. Then, after Najee leaves next year, our 2nd string RB in 2020 looks to be Jerome Ford at this point. Woof. Have to imagine that would be appealing to both Evans and Milton in the 2020 class.

5. TREY SANDERS, RB, IMG ACADEMY (BRADENTON, FLA.)
The latest on Sanders: Extremely active on social media the days leading up to his final decision, the nation's top-ranked running back and No. 5 player is down to Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Texas, reportedly. Sanders' brother plays at Florida and the Gators received his final official visit over the weekend. He decommitted from the Crimson Tide on Jan. 1, but has remained in close contact with Alabama's coaching staff since. Mike Locksley leaving Tuscaloosa for the Maryland job this month could factor into his decision.

Go look at Robinsons film, with a year here he could be a stud for us.
I'm really high on Sanders and want him here, but Robinson is a good back from a highly competitive area who still shows out on film.

8. DAXTON HILL, S, BOOKER T. WASHINGTON (TULSA, OK)
The latest on Hill: The nation's eighth-best player overall according to the 247Sports Composite, Hill recently flipped his commitment from Michigan to Alabama. The nation's No. 1 safety sat down with the Tulsa World this week and went a little bit more in-depth on why the change of heart one week after the SEC Championship Game win over Georgia. “(Alabama’s) just been one of the leaders in my whole recruiting process, so I wouldn’t say it was over a game that switched my mind — they were just always recruiting me hard."

9. ISHMAEL SOPSHER, DT, AMITE (AMITE, LA)
The latest on Sopsher: After flipping two elite-level defensive backs last week, Alabama is now trending to land Sopsher, 2019's top-ranked defensive tackle and the second-best player from Louisiana, according to the 247Sports Composite. “Densely built defender with a powerful lower-half and a thick upper-half who brings mass without a lot of bad weight,” writes 247Sports lead evaluator Barton Simmons. “Has natural strength and punch and uses his hands effectively when he wants to. Can flash suddenness and get-off for a bigger defender and has demonstrated instances of good lateral quickness. Two-gap ability. Overpowering on the high school level.

If we lose out on Sanders and Williams goes to AU, I have to imagine that we'll go hard after Glass. I always got the vibe from him that he wants in badly and would commit in a second if given the green light. I like his film, and he put up great stats for a great program.

I am thinking about going, haven’t decided if I want to go downtown and fight that traffic.

Glass looks slow on film to me, but I watched it right after rewatching Keilan's and that dude is such a burner that it makes everyone looks slow.
Glass as a fallback wouldn't be bad and it sets up for next year to go chase a true elite back (at least recruiting rankings wise).

Nakobe Dean Highlights For Team Mississippi (with video)
quote:
The Butkus award winning Nakobe Dean has been making his mark during the Team Mississippi practices. This season Nakobe helped Horn Lake to its first 6A State Title. He he was the catalyst for the state's No. 1 defense. Dean collected 133 tackles with 20 of those tackles coming behind the line of scrimmage.
The nation's top middle linebacker by the 247Sports Composite has a list that consists of Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama and LSU. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound linebacker will make his decision public when he signs on his national letter of intent on December 19th, the first day of the early signing period. He will enroll at that school in January.

Top Performers Friday ahead of the Alabama-Mississippi ASG
quote:
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The rain came, and went, and came again through all of Friday but it didn't slow each side of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game from getting after it anyway. Through a morning and afternoon session each, each squad got through the halfway point of the preparation towards Monday night's 32nd annual border clash.
As 247Sports takes a look at top performers, the condensed practices will result in a condensed notebook featuring both sides in one feature.

Alpha Dog
An elite lineman 247Sports remains higher on than the industry reminded onlookers why on Friday. Seminary (Miss.) standout Nathan Pickering, a Mississippi State commitment while others in the SEC give chase, impresses in how he moves. For a big guy he's got some springiness to his game. In the morning session he showed the full arsenal in one-on-one work, winning reps with power and a classic bull rush as much as he used finesse to get by blockers. Pickering was also playing with energy despite the steady rain. He is a highly-touted kid that enjoys this setting more than others and it showed with his body language and leadership.

Top Five From Alabama
1. Christian Williams, CB, Daphne (Ala.) - The Alabama commitment made play after play Friday, in each session, whether it be one-on-one, 7on7 or even full team sessions. He uses his great length to play patient and affect the receiver's route stem with good feel on leverage thereafter. Enough acceleration and the length enables him to make plays on the football at the point of contact, too, another area of his game on display.
2. Bo Nix, QB, Pinson (Ala.) Pinson Valley - The state of Alabama's all-time touchdown and yardage leader had a consistent day Friday, again proving accurate. The Auburn commitment was making nice throws against his momentum on the run in particular. He also made one really nice throw where he had a defender popping him in the face and he still drove it down the field on time.
3. AJ Toney, WR, Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin - For a second consecutive day the Samford commitment commanded attention in this piece for how much of a task it is to contain him in space. Not only is he quick off of the line, but there is enough power with his hands to make playing physical difficult on defensive backs off of the line despite Toney's 5-foot-7 frame. While not a burner, he has great burst out of the box and gets to top speed in a hurry when not rerouted.
4. George Pickens, WR, Hoover (Ala.) - As one defensive back on the roster told us Friday when discussing the toughest routes to cover, "it's not a route, it's a George." Pickens' overwhelming physicality, size, length and ball skills make him an option even when the defender is in position. Most all-stars seeing him for the first time this week have used the word "freak" directed towards him, a reputation that's followed the Hoover standout from his early prep days.
5. Reddy Steward, CB, Decatur (Ala.) Austin - Steady all week long and flashing on Friday, the uncommitted cornerback does a bit of everything well. Steward has enough size and length to keep wideouts honest, but his speed and ball skills take his projection to the next level. He made the play of the day Friday, skying for an interception to kick off team drills.
