I hope you guys get Raymond. The melt from Louisiana St8 fans will be glorious!

Now this would be worth paying for. This place would go biblical.

Ansley would be a terrible hire for DC. But he may be DC in title only.

Don’t disagree from a schematic standpoint but then we’d be hiring him for recruiting as DB development. The bonus for him over Raymond is that he and Kirby worked together for so long at Bama that they understand each other’s defensive philosophies

The melt would last for a couple of days, and could trigger an even bigger melt if Yaw Yaw hires another BBQ buddy to replace him.

I this Ansley was only with Kirby for a couple years as a grad assistant? He took Tucker's job when Tucker went to UGA with Kirby.

But I agree with your general point of having the same philosophies.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Schumann considers Miami but he’s also due for a hefty raise with or without a title promotion and Richt is a sinking ship at this point. Lanning has already turned down Tucker’s offer to be DC at Colorado so I’d be surprised if he went to Miami with all of those issues

Speaking of TideSaint and dogs, the wife and kids have put me on the spot in taking in a puppy.

My sister-in-law had some old lady give her a small dog she found on the side of the road a couple weeks back. Well my SIL now wants to get rid of him and guess who is at the top of her list? This fricking guy.

I met him for the first time last night and I gotta say he's a cute little bastard.

I've got a wife and three kids leaning on me hard to take him with us when we go home tomorrow.

I think I might cave on this one.

Goddamnit.

Might. You never had a chance. The whole thing was probably a set up.

Ansley was not much of a recruiter at Bama. Pretty much average or below recruiter.

Oh it was.

My steely resolve has overcome this same scenario in the past, but this time it's different.

We have two dogs now, but one is really old (12-13). The younger one (6-7) has never been alone and I'm afraid he would spiral into a doggy depression once she dies. Having a little buddy around would ease his sadness, and everyone else's if I'm being honest.

Damn I'm getting soft.

UGA is convinced that KS can make up for any recruiting deficiencies from their DC. Tucker wasn't some light the world on fire recruiter either, but it didn't hurt their recruiting then.

It's not soft to be rational. Better to get the dog now and have it adjust than to wait for the other dog to die and then try to bring in a new companion while your family grieves losing the older dog.

Maybe Mario had this planned all along. Biggest recruiting weekend for Oregon all the visitors and bring them together to watch Thin commit to them and he says come join me

I really hope thibs committs to the good guys in a bit. That would give us some much-needed momentum heading into the early signing period. I'm psyched I really feel like we've got him in the bag

I knew a dawg could make you melt sooner or later....but in all seriousness sorry to everyone else if I helped muck up the recruiting thread on Dean.

Cristobal is a hell of a recruiter, thibs committing there wouldn't be shocking.

Yeah that's my mindset as well.

It helps that the puppy in question doesn't shed and we would have two weeks off for vacation to train him right.

The only problem is his name. My idiot SIL calls him Murphy and it appears he knows it already.

That name has to go.
