Take this with a huge grain of salt, but an Ohio State poster put this on their 247 board last night regarding Dax Hill:
quote:
There’s something you all need to know. I almost posted this tonight but I didn’t think anyone would believe it but I’m gonna spit it out now that someone has already done it. I have a friend who is very well connected with some great inside sources. He texted me a couple hours ago saying the day after he committed to Bama he called the scUM coaches and said he completely regretted flipping. He followed it up by telling me 2 people who we both know very well and are legit affiliated with the scUM football team (not going to say who they are) that he’s told coaches and scUM commits that he’s going to sign with them Wendsday, not even announce it but just sign and shock everyone. He also added that he knows Harrison wants to got to scUM but his mom wants him to come to tOSU.

I hope he at least let's the staff know. If he doesn't, then that's pretty shitty

WATCH: 5-star WR Fleming throws down dunks in hoops opener
quote:
Sometimes there's an obvious first choice in playground drafts — regardless of which sport is under consideration. Julian Fleming, a five-star receiver in the 2020 recruiting class, fits that description.
Fresh off a state championship victory with Southern Columbia (Catawissa, Pa.) High School, Fleming is off to a strong start on the basketball court. Considered the No. 5 overall recruit in 247Sports 2020 composite rankings, he proved again to be a superior athlete in Southern Columbia's Monday night hoops opener against Mahanoy High School.
As you can see in the video highlights above, Fleming threw down three emphatic dunks on fast-break opportunities. He finished with 11 points in a 50-46 win, then followed that up with 23 points Wednesday during a 51-32 victory over Berwick High School, according to The Citizens' Voice.
While speaking with Lions247 earlier this week, Fleming expressed his passion for competition on the court, but explained he'll be juggling a widespread college football recruiting process this season.
"I'm playing football in college, so obviously that's the first priority," Fleming said. "If I have to miss a basketball game or two for visits, I'm gonna have to do that because football is what's paying for my college."
As Lions247 reported Tuesday, Fleming plans to attend a Penn State practice this weekend. He visited Happy Valley for each of the Nittany Lions' first four games this fall, and also traveled to Ohio State. Those are the two universities featured in his 247Sports Crystal Ball, which shows PSU with 85 percent of predictions.
Fleming, who lives less than 100 miles east of State College, carries approximately 30 scholarship offers and started to rise as a major Power Five prospect during his freshman year. His offer sheet features Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame and Southern Cal.
It's easy to see how his jump-out-of-the-gym athleticism translates onto the football field.
Fleming collected 78 receptions for 1,526 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2018, adding four interceptions — returning three for touchdowns — along the way. He was named Pennsylvania's Gatorade Player of the Year last week.
Coach Brandon Carson, whose Line Mountain High School football squad encountered Southern Columbia in a November matchup, provided testimony for the Gatorade press release.
“Fleming is just a nightmare as a player," Carson said. "It doesn’t matter if you triple cover him. He makes plays that very, very few receivers can make, let alone make as consistently as he does. He also takes pride in his blocking, he’s an excellent defender, excellent punter, excellent return man. He’s a pretty unbelievable player.”
Past Pennsylvania recipients of the award include linebacker LaVar Arrington, defensive tackle Sean Gilbert and quarterback Chad Henne.
"It was crazy; especially when I heard about other winners and what they did with their futures," Fleming said. "To be represented in a group like that, it meant the world."
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound playmaker continues to showcase abilities beyond the football field. Aside from his aforementioned basketball prowess — Fleming averaged 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals per game as a sophomore — he qualified for state track and field championships as a freshman.
And, to show that Fleming is about more than flashy dunks and long-distance touchdown catches, consider watching this recently uploaded Hudl film that features three minutes of him handling his role as a blocker during the 2018 season.

One of his fellow posters pointed out Hill isn't signing on Wednesday and that was the case when he was still committed to Michigan.

From Keith Niebuhr:
quote:
RB target DJ Williams will OV to Georgia this weekend -- not Clemson, he told Dawgs247.
Interesting stuff going on here.
He appears to be a backup plan for both UGA and Bama -- Both are fighting hard for 5-star Trey Sanders.
Whoever misses on Sanders probably will go VERY hard after DJ -- who is an early enrollee.
It's about to get interesting.

See no point in saying you are committed and not sign Wednesday . Especially if you have taken visits

Speaking of that:

Alabama running back commit Keilan Robinson (St. John’s/Washington, D.C.) may be leaning towards inking with the Tide Dec. 19. The Terps are pushing for the local four-star, but we’re told Bama coach Nick Saban still wants him and should be able to retain his services. There’s a chance that could change, but we’ve down-shifted Robinson to “warm” on the hot board after hearing that report from a solid source.
This is from the Maryland side of things. Interesting.

Steve Wiltfong quotes:
quote:
"I think Alabama is in a good position for Dean. I have an old pick for UGA and haven't gathered enough info to flip it but if he picked the Tide I wouldn't be surprised."
"I was skeptical of the UGA buzz regarding Sanders at first but I'm buying it now. They're a contender."

Nahh just kirby following nick around in the shadows.
I guess the photo he sneaked of nick's big recruiting board on the way out last year wasn't enough..

Maybe the Ohio St mod put in the CB flip back to Michigan for Hill, because they knew Battle would be flipping to Bama.

Maybe just maybe both would play at the same time, but I am curious if the battle commitment means something
