This just shows me, that if Bo wouldn't have gotten injured, he would have left last year. I think he was "checked out" this year because of it

He was the number one guy this year. I agree things may be better for him with Tua starting. Should open things up hopefully. He was easily a second round pick this year tho. Well from all the mocks I seen. I wanted my 49ers to take him or Michele.

I think Bo just lost a step due to injuries.

D. Harris staying could be the best thing that ever happened to N. Harris. If Damien can impart a little of his vision to those younger guys, it would make a world of difference.

Bo showed us this year that talent without the ability to see the running lanes is worthless.

Damien Harris rushed for 1000 yards this year and the year before. With Tua as QB, teams won't be able to stack the box. HE WILL BE A HEISMAN CANDIDATE NEXT YEAR IMHO.

Alabama RB Damien Harris returning for senior season, passing on draft

By Matt Zenitzmzenitz@al.com

Alabama star running back Damien Harris has decided to return to the Crimson Tide for his senior season rather than enter the NFL draft, sources told AL.com.
Harris ran for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns this season after running for 1,040 yards and two scores as a sophomore in 2016.

This is big and likely somewhat surprising news for the Crimson Tide as people in the NFL draft world viewed Harris as one of the top NFL prospects among draft-eligible running backs and as a potential early-round draft pick.

Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough leaving for NFL
Bo Scarbrough is entering the NFL draft.
So, even with Bo Scarbrough's decision to turn pro, the Tide will again have a deep and talented running back group as Josh Jacobs, Najee Harris and Brian Robinson will all be back in addition to Harris.

Najee Harris looked especially strong in Alabama's national championship win over Georgia with 66 yards on six carries.

Harris ranked seventh nationally with an average of 7.4 yards per carry and ran for 71.4 yards per game despite getting just 9.6 carries per game.

Yeah, but I don't see him being first round guy. I think third round this year was likely. Maybe even second.

guys i have a question. its not linked to this years recruiting, so if it gets x'd out, its kool

my introduction to recruiting came via forrest davis, really like old forrest. he brought in a guy to be on air with him, whose name i cannot remember. but for some odd reason, i keep thinking the guy with lugs on espn is the same guy that was with forrest davis. am i way off base here?

D. Harris was our best RB this year and I'll guarantee you that Saban's doing back flips...the kid has the heart of a lion and may have been the biggest competitor we had on offense. If he stays healthy, he'll be in any conversation regarding end-of-year national awards.

The example he provides and the leadership he displays can't be over stated!

Yeah, D. Harris staying is HUGE. He has gotten noticeably better each year and will be a great leader next year.

Hopefully we’ve had our injury bug year, but there’s been years were we had two/three RBs be injured during the same stretch.

I miss the Forrest Davis days. I'd buy his magazine and read it and then wait until the day after signing day to see who we got. It was much easier back then I always loved the sports page the day after signing day. It was exciting

I can remember the late 90s recruiting. I didn’t know who we signed until the ‘Bamamag recruiting special came out.

I used to subscribe to the Tiderinsider “binder” by Rodney Orr too. Good ole days. Yes, the paper the next day with a bio of each player was great

Getting to know: Alabama CB signee Josh Jobe (video)

quote:

SAN ANTONIO — 247Sports sat down with Cheshire (Conn.) Academy four-star cornerback and Alabama signee Josh Jobe at the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

What were his thoughts when he first met Alabama head coach Nick Saban?

What his first trip to Tuscaloosa like?

What was the moment like when he committed to the Crimson Tide?

Oh, and when did he tell the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff he was flipping to the Crimson Tide? He didn't.

Check this out!

Tua Tagovailoa became a Alabama legend Monday night, throwing three touchdown passes, including the game winner in overtime for the Crimson Tide’ National Title game victory over Georgia. No true freshman quarterback had led his team to a national championship since 1985. Jalen Hurts, the starter for the Crimson Tide, is just a sophomore. That’s one crowded quarterback room.

Alabama has shown serious interest in three Arizona high school quarterbacks. What should those three and their families do now? I mean, it’s Alabama calling, but Nick Saban is loaded for the foreseeable future. Seniors Brock Purdy from Perry high school and Jamarye Joyner from Cienega are scheduled to visit the Crimson Tide campus later this month. Chandler quarterback Jacob Conover, just a junior, has strong interest from Alabama too.
