Either way, I expect slightly more than the usual amount of attrition this Spring for us following the announcement of Ole Miss' penalties (if it finally happens at some point this century). I expect us to be aiming to have two scholarships available for the 85 man roster to use for potential "free agents", if you know what I mean. One of which is a NT.

AJ Brown and Benito Jones come on down!

AJ Brown
Pass. The WRs on our roster are solid and we don't need a weak willed player who quits on interceptions when he is in the best position to make the tackle.

I believe that was Damarkus Lodge.

That wasn't Brown. That was Lodge.

I'm sorry, but saying Hurts throwing deep balls is a weakness makes me think you are stuck in 2016 and haven't seen him play this season.
Hurts isn’t as good at the deep ball (yet) compared to Coker, Sims, and McCarron. Maybe he will continue to improve upon it, but if the game was on the line, I would trust Coker, Sims, or McCarron to throw a deep ball before I’d trust Hurts right now.
I think there’s more to it than Daboll being conservative. Saban would tell Daboll to adjust his game plan if we were not highlighting a player’s strengths.

I watched Jones play against Saraland on ESPN and he was nothing special. I don't think he even had 100 total yards of offense.
Is that the game where he had a throw on 4th down to win it and his WR dropped it?
I am certainly not smart enough to do QB rankings. I know Jones was hurt his entire sophomore year so a good piece of his ranking was always based on 'potential' as a college qb. Think he has all the physical tools to be really good, but so do 100 other guys

Brandon Kennedy has a broken leg.

Jones made a hell of a pass between two defenders and his receiver dropped the ball. Jones' team should have won that game.

Hank flipped his CB for Coynis Miller to Auburn.
He gone.
He gone.

Now that Coynis is gone, what are options at DT. I know Bobby Brown was high on our list. Also thats two that AU has beaten us on this year. Normally we win these... What gives

Any chance that Kevin Steele takes a head coaching job somewhere? Anywhere?

The kid we offered yesterday had this to say earlier this morning on the Alabama offer:
He also said he is definitely taking OVs to Alabama, Georgia, Florida and LSU.
quote:
“Man, I was really about to cry,” Barmore said of getting the Alabama offer. “It’s Alabama, I always loved that school. Alabama, man, that’s a dream come true. I was in class, too, I had to be excused. When that happened, I was just like wow. Everything changed. I’ve just got to keep working hard, keep going harder.”
Barmore said he speaks with defensive line coach Karl Dunbar “a lot.”
“They’re the best college team in the country,” Barmore said. “They make good D-line players. A lot of people I love watching, they went there, like Marcell Dareus. I can’t wait to go on my visit there.”
He also said he is definitely taking OVs to Alabama, Georgia, Florida and LSU.

It's Rodney Garner that is kicking Bama's arse for DL recruits.
Bo Davis could win some of those battles, Dunbar can not.

So this recruiting will be fine but not a super stellar one. Ive heard that 2019 could be epic. What 5 stars do we have a really good shot at and what positions will be sought after the most?

Key was his recruiting coach. Who he said he was closest to of any coach that was recruiting him. But it seemed that didn't matter either.
He also grew up an Alabama fan, in a family of Alabama fans. He's at a position of priority with early playing time virtually guaranteed. And he's basically down the street. So, it doesn't make much sense. But that's recruiting sometimes.

We need to push Robert cooper, since Florida st. Having a down year. I’ve heard there is interest, but we have to get him on campus.

Christian Barmore looks impressive on film!! Splitting a double team, getting off the ball etc. A Josh Jacobs type recruit. Under the radar but definitely a talent!!
