Aside from Surtain today has sucked and we can all agree.

Let’s finish strong.

The bright side? Saban and his staff know damn well that they have to land an epic class next year at QB, LB, and DL. We seem to be off to a great start at safety, and we should add some stud RB's and either little Tua or Tyson. LB and DL are big question marks, though. Although, I'm convinced that the staff has silents from 4-5 blue chip DL to pass on Langham.

Yikes. Minus Surtain, today has been a disaster. Hopefully Saban learned his lesson about hiring dudes that "can coach" but can't recruit.

National Championship parade as a recruiting weekend....I hope we consider shifting to a big day on the final weekend before NSD if the class isn't locked up.

Paradox much? Shitty recruiting weekend but yet still wins natty every year. I'll take it!

I bet Dabo is/was selling the kid hard on playing soon at Clemson while he would be on the bench at Bama for 2018. These guys want to play and play now more than they care about playing for The King.

I am glad the prick LB Walker didn't select Bama. His 15 minutes of fame today might be the highlight of his career. Throwing the 10RC hat was low low class. His father should have slapped the shet out of him.

My 6 and 3 year old basically committed to Alabama immediately following the parade. so, it wasn't a total failure.

This blows my mind. The man has done what no coach has ever done. But he needs to learn his lesson.

Yup. I knew today was going to go like this when Brown flipped. Thankfully, like many others have said, we got Surtain. If we had missed on him this would have been the worst since 07. This gif still applies though

He fixed it with the new hires. I bet we have multiple silents in 2019 that should commit soon. That's the only explanation, and would be a credit to the new hires. My guess is Christian Williams (DB), Clay Webb (OL), Little Tua (QB), DJ Dale (DT), and Vonta Bentley (LB) for in-state kids. And probably a bunch of LB's and DL out of state. Posters on here have repeatedly predicted next year's class will be epic at positions of need, and I have no doubt that it will be.

I typically don't melt over recruiting, but we dropped the ball with this class. Bigly. Are we even going to have 85 on scholarship this fall?

That national title was won with number one classes every year. We are currently sitting at 8. I trust Saban will find ways to improve to next year, but we need more than we got in this class.

I might not have been clear. I didn't mean stop winning Nattys or cancel the parade. I am saying based on this years results it might be better for us to be the last place our target visit then then focusing on the National Title ceremony/parade. The real paradox is the one big target we hit on was at the parade so I'm obviously full of it.

I'm willing to bet that he will have at least90 percent of the players signed in December to avoid this kind of situation again.
