I think you have to look at how often we are in base and actually use a 3 deep rotation before we get too upset on the DL situation. We often are in nickel or dime with our rabbits package.

Phidarian Mathis didn't play this past season and was red-shirted and he is better prospect than Bobby Brown.
Also we don't have to keep our best three in, we have enough to fill a two deep rotation.

It's been going on for awhile. It's embarrassing to watch but he just keeps going. I feel like this guy must be pretty young.

In 2016 we had 11 on scholarship and it came back to bite us in the championship game. Granted, more of the guys next year have proven they can be relied on in the rotation than in 2016. I expect that we'll rotate in 6 guys (Mathis, Dwight, Davis, Buggs, Williams, Ray). Hopefully Parks can put on a lot of muscle and James is moved from TE to DE. The real question, aside from staying healthy due to low scholarship numbers, will be NT. Mathis is unproven and Dwight only played a handful of snaps.
