A friend of mine who is really connected in the Miami area (let's call him Mr. Waters) is saying that Surtain called Yaw Yaw up to talk gumbo last night. Surtain let it slip that he uses a store bought roux and got his offer pulled. Stay tuned.

Would be surprisingly awesome.

But you have one too many -- maybe drop JJ or Campbell. Also, Langham to UF instead of AU.

Been a dumpster fire for a while.

Alabama is one month removed from winning its 5th title in 9 years yet grown men are melting over GUESSES writers looking to sell clicks are making about where around 6 kids will sign tomorrow and declaring the staff to be failures.

Pretty damned embarrassing.

What has happened in the last 24 hours that has caused everyone to go full fledged pessimist? Why are we conceding Surtain?

LOL at some of you idiots and your opinion. It’s people like you who give Bama fans a bad name. I am still celebrating the Natty while some freaks out.

This ain't shite compared to the freaking out if you mention a certain offensive backfield position.

Well, but the consistency of the yearly recruiting melt in the days leading up to signing day is paramount. It is more extreme this year than most years, and some of the years we were pretty much finished by now, but seems the last few years have been fairly dramatic for some people.

Bama is conceding everyone but Ross, Waddle, Moody, Smith and Parker.

We told you to close the gate behind you when you came in or Huddie would get in.

Ed Zackery..........hell 25% of those signed each never play a meaningful down in 4 years.

Anybody in here every play a down? I mean really.

Bama will start to feel the effects of this year's class in 19 and 20.

Unless the 2019 class is like the 2017 class and is stuffed full of immediate contributors like Moses, Tua, Harris, Smith, Jeudy, Riggs, Leatherwood, etc.

But honestly, if I were a really good qb, I wouldn't come to UA either with the 2016 offensive player of the year and the national championship game MVP a sophomore and a freshman. Would be cool, though, to tell your grandchildren some day "Yeah, I played for the national champions back in the day"

edit: Oh yeah. Barker.

Receiver is one of the easier positions for freshman to contribute. Tua and Leatherwood didn't do much until the final half of the final game. They had all season to get ready.

Having to have freshman DL and DB to contribute right away in Bama's complicated defense is a lot to ask.

Like 2015? Three freshmen started in the secondary. There was a true freshman NG.

We'll be good fellas. Even if we land one 5 star it will work out. Not really sure why DB's and DL aren't beating down the door this year, but that's how it is. The road to the number 1 class in 2019 starts tomorrow.

Unless we don't get Waddle and Ross then
