Wished they had just said “ first to commit is in” . We could be in a bind

Think they just preferred White imo

I'm pretty sure that's just wishful thinking

Of course, it's partly that. And partly speculation.
Consider that Bama gave Brevin White a week to decide. After he decided on Princeton, Bama didn't notify Purdy he could commit -- according to what Purdy told SEC Country.
Instead, while Purdy visited ATM this weekend, Bama hosted preferred walk-on candidate Braxton Barker, son of former Tide QB Jay Barker.
So, it looks like Bama may have decided that Purdy won't get a spot in this class.
ETA: Per Tim Watts Bama could have landed Purdy if they wanted, but wasn't ready to take his commitment.

Did we not give him the green light?
I just saw that article. It's confusing. I don't know what in the hell is going on

Well, Purdy seems to indicate he didn’t have a commitable offer.

I think we didn’t right after his visit and he knew he was 2nd choice to white. Prolly didn’t want to be a backup plan. Can’t blame him

Stoutland is a damn good line coach. I believe he's the best we've had

From a UT board but not sure where the article is from
“Alabama has made a very strong push," said Rush Propst, Peterson's coach at Colquitt County High School. "I don't think either one, Alabama or Tennessee, is a clear favorite as of Sunday afternoon. I think it's a dead heat right now, 50-50."
"As long as I've known Coach Saban, I've never seen anybody pick up the pressure more than he did on JJ as far as just trying to get him to change his mind or take his visits and see which one you like after the visits and make your mind up after you do that," Propst said. "So, I would think Alabama's in a very good position right now."
NSD I will take the over

It sucks? Why? It obviously means no offer. Sounds like no QB (please goodness, no Foster), and a scholarship for another position. Sounds great to me!

Won’t be too great if two qbs transfer and we have the starter and the walk on Montana kid. Lol

The way things are going, Michael Parker is going to be able to sign on Wednesday, instead of blueshirting. Would free up a spot in next year's class.

Also wish we could sign one so Saban could name a starter coming out of spring. Now he may have to drag it out til August so they won’t transfer but that could backfire as well

Stoutland definitely the best and has continued it to the NFL.
Bama caught Pendry on the downswing of his career, essentially out of the NFL after his embarrassing Texans' OL. Steve Marshall left a month on the job and Saban had to find a quick replacement.
Still got a few very good years out of him before he hung it up...
