I've been in education 24 years and this has to be the dumbest shite I have heard and trust me, I've heard A LOT of dumb shite during that time!
I would go to the principal on this and respectfully ask for a change and give your concerns as to why. The principal needs to know what a dumb arse of a teacher they have employed.

I get bored and update folks avatars randomly.

If you have any other suggestions send them my way.

I would go to the teacher first, honestly. Explain to her your moral objection to the costume. Perhaps offer to compromise by allowing him to dress as a concentration camp inmate, if his costume is for some reason central to a lesson on WWII.

This would be a win win for a parent, TBH. You wouldn't have to feed your kid for a month or so. Good way to be frugal and save money.

Winston “fricking” Churchill.

Top hat, cane, dark jacket, cigar . . . Boss.

Eta: Nerdy but I’m a WWII buff. Few people know that Mr. Churchill was actually a big fan of Saint’s recruiting megathreads.

In most every other instance, I would agree. You go to the teacher first and then up the chain of command. Problem with this, the principal needs to be made aware of a potentially huge arse PR nightmare.
I do like the idea of the concentration camp inmate though. Educating about an animal like Hitler is one thing, unleashing potential HELL on an 11 year old is another.

Alabama recruiting question of the day: Any chance of landing a safety this class?

quote:

The chance of landing a true safety in this recruiting class is gone after 4-star prospect Leon O’Neal canceled his official visit to Alabama.

According to a source close to the program, Alabama wasn’t going to be able to fit O’Neal into the class, for what it’s worth.

The Tide are recruiting 5-star cornerbacks Patrick Surtain Jr., Tyson Campbell and Olaijah Griffin, as well as 3-star prospect Eddie Smith. Alabama was recruiting 4-star safety Kelvin Joseph, but he decided to stick with his LSU commitment. The Tide signed 4-star defensive backs Jalyn Armour-Davis, Josh Jobe and Saivion Smith during the early signing period.

I think Jobe has potential to play safety, even though he was recruited as a cornerback. He definitely has the cover skills as a cornerback but flies to the ball carrier as a safety. So, if anyone, I think Jobe has the potential to end up playing safety for the Tide.

Note: Xavier Williams played WR and CB in HS. Also, Saban visited Jacob Copeland this week and likes his potential as a DB.

Quay Walker is visiting UGA this weekend, but Kirby Smart will visit Otis Reese (LB, Michigan commit) in Leesburg, GA today. Crystal balls are trending (73%) to Reese flipping to UGA. Recent chatter indicates UGA and AU may be out of it for Walker, leaving UT as the real threat to flip him.

Williams' HC is a big believer in a switch to DB, has even compared his athleticism to Patrick Peterson.

They deployed him there as a Junior in a game after a player burned them for an 80 yard TD. Xavier shut the guy down the rest of the way...

Volquest and the UGA recruiting thread too:
quote:

Walker is on campus. Kirby is supposed to leave Campus and head over to Lee County and watch Reese play basketball and then go over for the in home. Quay’s player hosts and others will be with him in Athens.

ETA: I did some more poking around UGA & UT sites and threads. I edited my post above some accordingly. In summary, it appears UGA & AU confidence has waned and UTs has grown.

Where is our insiders or 3174 with info on Walker. The kid has not decommitted and UT looks to be the only competition now. I guess if Moody commits this weekend we know but seems that we may still be in it for Walker.
