Really? Our board seems to mostly think Bama. Looks like Nick was visiting him today. Thanks for the info
The only confirmed visit for Saban in Louisiana today was with Chris Allen.
I do know Napier, Pruitt and Dunbar visited Phidarian Mathis though.

That's a tall kid. We'll need to fatten him up though

Does all these new 5 star players allow Bama to sign the best class ever now? Beating Florida's 10 class?
The Class Calculator isn't updated yet (they aren't updating recruit profiles until tomorrow), but I just fooled around with it to see what we MIGHT end up with.
I removed Jhavonte Dean and Hunter Brannon for obvious reasons and added the following players:
LaBryan Ray
Henry Ruggs
Devonta Smith
Jarez Parks
Aubrey Solomon
Phidarian Mathis
Chris Henderson
That gave us a score of 323.52.
Florida scored 323.66 back in 2010.
Now I don't actually believe we will land all of the guys I listed, but it would take a haul similar to it to even get close to that Florida class.
ETA: I feel fairly confident we will land the first four. As for the other three? Who fricking knows?

Welp. I guess Saban snuck in to see Harris after all. From BOL:

Nick Saban visited 4-star safety Todd Harris today, per Geaux247's Shea Dixon. Harris will officially visit Alabama this weekend.

There are two dedicated threads on the LSUrb melting about it.

I try not to lurk there knowing I can't point out completely fabricated and outright lies seeing as I don't access over there. It's maddening.

For the umpteenth time, rules do not apply to Bama. They take however many they want. They process whoever they want. They give out cars. They hold every Dlineman they can. They apparently have an auto bid to every title game. They possess stolen guns. They do an insane amount of drugs. Have you seen them punished for any of these broken 'rules'??? I'm glad this thug was run out of T-Town:

Jones, a former 4-star recruit, had 36 carries for 224 yards with 2 touchdowns during the 2014 season for Alabama. He was dismissed from the Crimson Tide’s roster in March 2015 after he was arrested for marijuana possession.
Early last year, he was a South Carolina commitment. But he did not sign with the Gamecocks because of academic questions. He attended Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.

Bama has an auto bid? That's awesome! Let's dump this SEC bullshite and hit up CUSA then so we don't have to worry about pesky games and shite.

DPJ is taller and faster than Ruggs but I think Ruggs is the better receiver
I think he's misinformed about the speed here. If DPJ is faster than Ruggs, then I'll eat my hat. Ruggs is an absolute missile. Whatever they test out in the 40 (and Ruggs is probably sub 4.4), Ruggs plays faster on the field.

We definitely need recievers in this class, are going to get some good ones. Already have shavers, who unlike some of our other tall wrs in the last few years is also a burner, laser timed at a Nike event at 4.38, at 6'6", and he's already on campus so will get a full spring training before the others are on campus. Then Jeudy is another Cooper/Ridley type, smooth and polished route runner, good speed and hands, also going to go through spring. And then the possibility of Smith and Ruggs, both extremely explosive playmaker types.

Yep. We knocked it out of the park at a need position. Early impact guys, IMO.
Let's hope we do that on Singing Day with an even bigger need position (DL).
FYI, I've seen stuff from Rodney Orr and others warning us not to jump to conclusions about Solomon between now and SD, and that there would be a PR circus pointing in several directions between now and then. We apparently feel really good about where things are with him as of within the last week.
