9. OT Jedrick Wills
Alabama commit Jedrick Wills worked out at right tackle the entire day, and the 6-foot-5, 318-pound prospect more than held his own on the outside. The Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette product was the only lineman able to slow star defensive end Joshua Kaindoh during one-on-ones. Some projected Wills as a guard on the next level, but after Wednesday it seems clear he can be effective as a tackle.

8. LB Christopher Allen
Alabama commit Christopher Allen dominated the inside run drill playing both inside and outside linebacker. The well-built, 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect showed good instincts and consistently met the running back in the hole for little to no gain. The Baton Rouge (La.) Southern University Lab star also showed the ability to go sideline to sideline better than anticipated.

5. WR Jerry Jeudy
Alabama commit Jerry Jeudy consistently was able to create separation from the defensive backs in coverage. The Deerfield Beach (Fla.) product was one of the more fluid route-runners during Day One. On the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder’s highlight play, he went up high between two defenders to come up with a beautiful snag over the middle of the field.

3. OT Alex Leatherwood
Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood spent most of the day working at left tackle, where he stuffed the speed rush consistently. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound prospect moved his feet well and, when he got his hands on the pass rusher, the rep was effectively over. The Pensacola (Fla.) Washington product simply bullies defensive ends with his impressive power.

2. DL LaBryan Ray
Top-50 prospect LaBryan Ray spent the entire day at defensive tackle, where he thoroughly impressed. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound prospect was just too quick for the interior offensive linemen. The Madison (Ala.) James Clemens product was able to get penetration frequently, once forcing a fumble from quarterback Kellen Mond that was scooped up by Ray. He later broke through the line and batted a pass in what was a very active day for Ray.

So four of our commits made the Top 10 and we lead for another one.
Holy shite.
Holy shite.

Well keep it up.
Have you seen where the recruits are staying?
From some pics it looks like the Royal Caribe resort. I had a conference there in August.

Alex Leatherwood
Team Armour's offensive tackles are massive and Leatherwood took most of the reps at left tackle on Wednesday. He only lost one rep during one-on-ones when his foot slipped but was otherwise dominant out on his island. When he gets to Alabama Leatherwood could play on the left or right side of the line depending on where Nick Saban wants to put Jonah Williams after Cameron Robinson leaves for the NFL.

Alabama DL commit Akial Byers confident he'll qualify academically
One big reason Alabama took a commitment from four-star Fayetteville, Ark., defensive lineman Akial Byers is because they felt the talented recruit would work hard to attain academic eligibility.
Byers was confident in that happening when he spoke Wednesday after Under Armour All-America Game practice in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Byers is one of several Alabama recruits playing in Sunday's game at noon on ESPN in Orlando.
"I'm there (almost academically qualified), I'm just taking the ACT," Byers said. "I'm pretty confident. I've got a tutor for the ACT, so I'm pretty confident."
Byers is waiting on December results, but he'll take the test as many times as he can. Alabama got a commitment from the state of Arkansas' top prospect in July.
"Me and my mom talked a lot about it and we finally made a decision because they were on top of everything, like my academics," Byers said. "It's a good school and there's no place like Alabama."
Byers will take his official visit to Alabama the weekend of Jan. 20. He said other schools are trying to get him in for a visit, but declined to name those and said no other visits are scheduled.
Arkansas won't be a factor.
"They did (recruit me hard) a little bit (early), but now they stopped," Byers said. "Now I hear that they're trying to again, but it's too late."
Byers is about 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, and he said Alabama coaches see him playing all over the defensive line because he'll bulk up to 300 pounds.
"They've leaned up on the defensive line with the spread offenses," said Benji Mahan, one of Byers' coaches at Fayetteville High School. "They would like to see him play the end spot in a 3-4 and if they want to bring in four defensive linemen and an outside linebacker comes in, he'd play a 3-technique (inside). He's already shown to be a fantastic 3-technique."
Byers camped at Alabama in June and also visited the school in July before announcing his commitment.
"First of all, he's got great natural hips and feet," Mahan said. "That's really what Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and those guys all saw when they first turned the film on. (Alabama) can look at his natural ability and build on that with their coaching and style.
"The kid really grew up in between his sophomore and junior season and even got better as a football player during his senior season."
Byers is focused on earning his qualifying ACT score and making an early impact for the Crimson Tide.
"This is work," Byers said of the all-star game. "It's more work trying to prepare me for the next level because where I'm going, I need to put in extra work because when I get there, I'm trying to play."

LaBryan Ray
Ray didn't do many of the camps in the offseason but had a very good season and made a ton of plays at practice on Wednesday. He is a bit longer and quicker than 2016 Rivals100 defensive lineman McTelvin Agim but not as scheme versatile. Florida, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee are all in the conversation for Ray but he is considered an Alabama lean at this point.

Jedrick Wills
Wills might be the most technically sound offensive lineman at the Under Armour All-America Game. He could play tackle or guard at Alabama but took reps at both tackle spots on Wednesday. Wills has the length and quickness to play tackle but the build and strength to be a very effective guard. He took the best shots that Ray and Kaindoh had to offer.

If he is now taking and focusing on the ACT then he must have the grades to qualify. Act score must be the only thing he needs!

My buddy is absolutely convinced that Leatherwood is going to Florida. Any smoke there?
I don't follow recruiting much at all anymore...so I have no idea.
