Yeah. Saban said he shot himself.

I was screwing around with the Class Calculator on 247 to see what our class score could potentially be given these commits/decommits:
I removed Jhavonte Dean and Hunter Brannon. Dean is going to Miami and Brannon is a gray shirt candidate.
I added these players:
LaBryan Ray
Henry Ruggs
Jarez Parks
Devonta Smith
Javon Kinlaw
DeAngelo Gibbs
Aubrey Solomon
That would put our class at 324.52.
Basically the best class of all time.

Confident on Ray, Ruggs, and Parks.
Want Solomon pretty bad.

With good possibility of guys rising in the rankings after the last ones are done

I listed them in order of confidence.

Sounds like Byers grades are not gonna make it.

Damn that is a shame. I really like him and think he is underrated. If you see some of the clips from this season, he is very quick and explosive. Great movement and hands.
I sad we're going to miss out on Marvin Wilson. Just watched his highlights and the kid is a beast. He's not going up against small guys every clip either.

Really does suck. He's my favorite recruit in the class.

Hoover had an Alabama legacy playing QB for their 9th grade team. Here are his highlights:

quote:
Roll Tide family keep an eye out for future Hover, Alabama QB Robby Ashford 14 yrs. 6'2 190lbs. He tested his talent against other top recruits from around the country this past weekend. He attended the NextGen Show at the Hall camp in Canton, Ohio more than 300 prospects participated on Saturday and Sunday, including several class of 2019 and 2020 prospect who already hold offers. Robby walked away with MVP for the first 7 on 7 at Elite 100 in Canton Ohio. This is the write up on Robby from the article. "QB Robby Ashford (2020) - The Hoover (Ala.) product showed tremendous accuracy throughout the weekend, whether it was spotting the deep ball, throwing the deep out, or splitting defenders in the red zone. Very live arm and can really spin it."

While chances of Wilson seem very low, we won't really know until AFTER 1/1 how we really stand with Wilson. We cannot actively recruit him until then due to the Bo Davis issues. Bama could put an all out Press based on missing on Solomon, Mathis or Kinlaw. Not saying we would get him, just don't think weve really entered the race just yet. Key will be to get him on campus, if that happens, anything is possible.

Mac Jones will be playing for a different offensive coordinator, but his commitment to Alabama remains the same.
Jones, a four-star quarterback from the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., committed to Alabama in early June, flipping from Kentucky. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Jones has attended Bolles for 12 years, but as of now has not been permitted to graduate this month and enroll at Alabama early.
His father, Gordon, said there may be one more chance to do so. He'd join a quarterback battle with fellow incoming freshman Tua Tagovailoa, an early enrollee, and returning starter Jalen Hurts, who is now a true freshman.
Jones was a fan of Lane Kiffin, Alabama's offensive coordinator who accepted the head coaching position at Florida Atlantic. Steve Sarkisian, a one-time head coach at USC and Washington and now an offensive analyst, was tabbed to replace Kiffin.
"We, like everyone else, are impressed with how progressive Coach (Nick) Saban is as a leader and decision maker," Gordon Jones said. "I believe Coach Saban had already anticipated this exact sequence in events when he originally offered Mac after being recruited by coach (Brent) Key."
Jones has not taken an official visit to Alabama, but did see the Crimson Tide's win over Western Kentucky.
If he isn't able to enroll early, which hasn't looked likely for a while, Jones will make an official visit in January.
"We look forward to meeting and having Mac get the opportunity to continue his football development with coach Sarkisian," Gordon Jones said.
Gordon Jones noted how almost every quarterback in Jones' situation and ranked like he is has been able to enroll early.
"He is eager to get on board and start training and competing with the best at 'Bama," Gordon Jones said. "This 2017 class rocks, and the current team is setting the standard that all incoming recruits will have to live up to."
Jones led Bolles to a 12-1 record and Class 4A state runner-up finish.

TIFWIW, but a LSU fan posted this about Wilson's competition on their recruiting board:

I played in the SPC. Not to knock Wilson cause the dude is monster, but the league is full of scrub white boy (myself included)

Confused here:
Is it UA not allowing the EE because we do not have enough spot for him to come in or is his school preventing him from graduating?

His school is the issue.

Some chatter that Devonta Smith may have committed to Bama earlier this week, have seen it from two different sources today. Nothing confirmed, but definitely worth watching.

That would be excellent news.
We need another representative at the Army All-American Game to recruit for us.

I just want him to keep LSU down.
Nah I think he is legit and would love to have him in the class and would enjoy another melt.
