2nd FSU recruit Bama has flipped this year. Anybody else they got that Bama wants?

Nice to see some recruiting wins over FSU, FSU stole some good ones a few years ago.

Great addition to the class especially for a position of need.

Stanford Samuels, who I think we would have flipped had Jimbo left. But don't think we have much of a shot now.

Maybe Cam Rob's Outland trophy he just won can help Bama's "brand" get to the level of utk's.

Stanford Samuels III, in one fell swoop, reaffirmed his commitment to Florida State while getting in a little friendly trash talk to Alabama commit and former Seminoles pledge VanDarius Cowan.

Cowan Tweeted at Samuels -- an FSU legacy -- “Still waiting on this guy” on Thursday. Once an FSU pledge, Cowan flipped to Alabama in April. The Crimson Tide just flipped longtime FSU commit Daniel Wright earlier on Thursday, so the threat of losing players to Alabama is currently a sensitive topic for FSU fans.

Samuels -- a five-star cornerback from Hollywood, Fla. and the current gem of FSU’s 2017 recruiting class -- wasn’t having it and gave the FSU faithful reason to rest easy.

The Seminoles open the 2017 season against Alabama in Atlanta on Sept. 2.

Chauncey Rivers, a four-star recruit from East Mississippi Community College, is expected to make an official visit to Alabama this weekend, AL.com has confirmed.

The 6-foot-2, 258-pound defensive end is the No. 8 junior college recruit. He ended up at EMCC after being dismissed from Georgia in May following three marijuana arrests in a seven-month span.

Rivers was a four-star recruit from Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Ga., and played as a true freshman in 2015 for the Bulldogs.

Louisville, Mississippi State and Ole Miss have offered, per his 247Sports page. It's unclear now if Alabama has.

The nation's No. 4 junior college recruit, defensive end Isaiah Buggs from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, is another projected visitor. LSU is the projected favorite for the Ruston, La., native, but Alabama head coach Nick Saban visited him recently.

Five-star defensive end Joshua Kaindoh, a former Maryland commit from the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is also expected to visit.

Three Alabama commits who plan to early enroll have confirmed their plans to visit. The three are Brandon Ruiz, a three-star kicker from Gilbert, Ariz., James Clemens defensive back Kyriq McDonald and Lewisville, Texas receiver Tyrell Shavers.

McDonald will have a signing ceremony at his school on Monday. The early enrollment is big for Shavers as he was thought to be a major league baseball prospect.

Five-star quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa visited Alabama earlier this week.

Some Alabama commits are taking other visits this weekend. Five-star offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood is visiting Auburn and Florida. Defensive back Jhavonte Dean is visiting Arizona State. Five-star running back Najee Harris is slated to visit Michigan.

Target LaBryan Ray, a defensive end from James Clemens, is slated to visit Ole Miss.

Hank South said earlier today that Rivers DOES NOT hold an offer at this time.

One of the biggest moves Willie Taggart is making comes on his first day on the job.

Sources tell Duckterritory Coach Taggart is boarding a plane "soon" headed for Hawaii.

That soon is expected to be this evening.

With about 24 hours under his belt as head coach, this is a major statement by Coach Taggart.

Tagovailoa has been committedited to Alabama since the Spring. But the allure of Oregon has always been an intrigue to Tagovailoa .

Can Willie Taggart get the attention of the nation's top-ranked quarterback?

He's certainly about to try. Buckle up.

They have a 2018 QB committed from up here in Idaho that is really good. I haven't been able to see him in person because he lives in Coeur d'Alene which is about 8 hours north of Boise.
