We got another CB for Elijah Conliffe, but an "insider" on BOL says he has tried to commit to us twice and was told we wouldn't take his commitment at the time.

From an "insider" on the LSUrb:

quote:

Contrary to popular belief, and hell i don't even believe it, but i ran into a former teammate of moses and he said that him and moses had a convo this week about his recruiting process and told him word for word "i like alabama, but i love lsu. I'm not 100% yet on what i want to do"

his twitter says otherwise. he did take a visit this week with O, so i guess we can hope for the best.

So the guy who has been ALL Bama for a while now and who just LAST week got into a spat with some LSU fan who told him to stop bringing his "arse to Baton Rogue" isn't solid to Bama? Ok. Sure thing.

I love LSU insiders. They ALWAYS get things right such as:

* Collins to LSU
* Cam Rob to LSU
* 5 for 5 bro!
* LF7 finna eat against this overhyped Bama d-line
* Harris has really matured this off season as a passer. The light finally went off and Cameron has him ready to ball out.
* This is the year LSU wins the natty. It's part of our 4 year cycle!
* Saban to Texas b/c debt, oil fields, and Mrs. Terry house shopping!
* It's Jimbo!
* It's Herman!

the list goes on and on. Do they EVER get tired of being wrong?

This means we get a chance at another melt when Moses signs early.

Do we have an updated list of possible early entry commits or targeted early entry kids still deciding. Is browning and Allen both early kid as well?

I'm pretty sure Moses, Najee, and Tua are early. I'm not sure about any more

The first big impact of the Iron Bowl recruiting weekend came on Sunday afternoon when Baton Rouge, La., four-star linebacker Christopher Allen committed to Alabama.

The 6-foot-5, 234-pound Allen comes from LSU country and picked the Crimson Tide over LSU and a host of other high-major offers just one day after Ed Orgeron was announced as LSU's head coach going forward.

How it happened: Even though Allen was in LSU's backyard, he said as far back as April that Alabama was his leader. Alabama led for most of the last several months though there was a time when LSU was tied. Even though Alabama has gotten some good prospects out of Louisiana and got a commitment from Dylan Moses earlier this fall, LSU is normally going to keep its top prospects at home. The timing was a surprise, but Allen went with what he thought was his best fit.

What he brings: I saw Allen compete at the New Orleans Opening regional and was surprised he didn't get selected for The Opening in Oregon. He likely ends up as a JACK/outside linebacker at Alabama though he could probably play all positions. If you enjoyed watching Ryan Anderson and Tim Williams go after quarterbacks for the past few years, get used to watching this guy.

247Sports' Steve Wiltfong described him as "an alien surrounded by aliens in this recruiting class."

What it means: It gives Alabama another elite linebacker prospect in this class. Allen joins five-star Dylan Moses and four-star prospects VanDarius Cowan and Markail Benton. It may not be done here, as five-star Baron Browning of Kennedale, Texas (nation's No. 9 prospect) is scheduled to announce Tuesday and is trending toward Alabama, but coming off an Ohio State official. Four-star Jarez Parks, an OLB/DE type, is also trending towards Alabama.

Rankings

247Sports composite (industry-generated): 4-star, No. 118 nationally, No. 7 OLB, No. 4 in Louisiana

247Sports individual: 4-star, No. 110 nationally, No. 7 OLB, No. 4 in Louisiana

Scout: 4-star, No. 81 nationally, No. 5 OLB

Rivals: 4-star, No. 209 nationally, No. 12 OLB, No. 7 in Louisiana

ESPN: 4-star, No. 166 nationally, No. 9 OLB, No. 6 in Louisiana

Mag you hit the nail on the head with this, I think we will see a whole lot more of Alleva's hand in things directing and hiring staff for O than he did with Miles

Which job you think Lessie ends up at once teams start firing and hiring guys next week?

Well he seemed to grow up being an Lsu fan but now is the moment in time when you transition from a boy to a man. Sometimes men have to make business decisions that use their head over their heart. He probably wishes the Lsu program was like the Alabama program, but it just isnt. He will make the right business decision and come to Bama.

Based on what Bone said (probably only 3 WR's now due) and what other things I'm hearing, this sounds about right. Ruggs seems to be the next WR to take, and according to TI poster, he probably drops his commitment soon.
