DT Aubrey Solomon
Recruitment: Solomon decommitted from Michigan at the beginning of the season and is now considering Georgia, Florida and a few other programs.
Analysis: Solomon has been a mainstay in the Rivals100 dating back to the initial release for the 2017 class, but he hasn’t been viewed with the same fanfare as some of the other top prospects in the class. This year, Solomon has come into his own on the field, showing the type of athleticism that had him in the mix for five-star status early in his career. The development he has shown this year is a major step in the right direction and should help him climb the ranks in the Rivals100 during the next update.

DT Phidarian Mathis
Recruitment: Alabama and LSU are among the schools battling to land Mathis.
Analysis: Mathis kept a low profile during the offseason and that allowed him to slip through the cracks compared to some other players at the defensive tackle position. But this year he’s shown that he belongs to be ranked at the position and make a move up the overall charts. His coach thinks enough of his ability to move at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds that he even sees time on offense. Athletic big men are key in today’s world of college football and that’s why schools will be battling down to the wire to land Mathis.

STOCK DOWN

WR Nico Collins
Recruitment: Collins has offers from a long list of major programs but Michigan, Georgia and Alabama seem like the main players.
Analysis: Collins looks great in a uniform and has a college-ready frame. Just based on that, his potential is sky high. He’s still an incredibly effective wide receiver and a major college prospect. It’s just that he hasn’t spent his senior season always living up to his lofty ranking. Collins goes in streaks and has a tendency to go quiet for long stretches despite his overwhelming physical advantages.

Tua Tagovailoa
High School: St. Louis (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Scout.com Ranking: No. 4 quarterback; No. 36 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Alabama
Already cemented as one of Hawaii's most accomplished prep football players ever, Tua Tagovailoa can cap things off with a state championship next weekend. St. Louis High School meets Kahuku High School on Nov. 19 in a battle between the top two seeds in the state's open division, per MaxPreps.
Tagovailoa kept those title dreams alive last weekend with four total touchdowns in a 42-7 semifinal win over Waianae High School, according to Hank South of 247Sports. His performance featured 162 yards and three scores through the air on 13-of-15 passing, complemented by 67 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Selected as Elite 11 MVP this summer, a sensational senior campaign puts Tagovailoa in position to depart for Tuscaloosa as the state's all-time passing yardage leader. He is now only 86 yards away from matching former St. Louis star Timmy Chang (8,001), according to Hawaii Prep World, and could claim the record along with a state championship on Saturday.

Cam Akers
High School: Clinton (Clinton, Mississippi)
Scout.com Ranking: No. 2 running back; No. 4 overall
Recruitment Status: Uncommitted; Offers include Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss and Ohio State
Cam Akers continues to showcase an elite overall skill set while taking snaps at quarterback for Clinton High School, where he's asserted himself as a National Player of the Year candidate this fall. His efforts helped Clinton dismantle Hernando High School, 63-35, in a first-round playoff matchup.
Akers completed eight passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns, per MaxPreps, adding 207 yards and three additional scores on the ground. He accounted for five touchdowns the week before in a 35-28 victory over Starkville High School that clinched Clinton's first division championship since 2002, according to Will Sammon of The Clarion-Ledger.
Through 12 matchups this season, Akers has collected 2,507 passing yards, 1,519 rushing yards and 42 total touchdowns. The former Alabama Crimson Tide commit is among this cycle's most coveted recruits less than three months shy of national signing day.

RB Najee Harris
High School: Antioch (Antioch, California)
Scout.com Ranking: No. 1 running back; No. 1 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Alabama
Najee Harris logged a 39-carry, 390-yard performance in Antioch's playoff loss last season, so don't expect him to end his prolific prep career on a quiet note. He punished opponents in a postseason victory this past Saturday, surging for 304 yards and three touchdowns on 34 rushing attempts, per MaxPreps.
Antioch was also able to count on him at linebacker during its 29-17 win over San Ramon Valley High School.
“He came up to me prior to the game and told me he could play defense tonight,” coach John Lucido told Jesus Cano of The Mercury News. “He’s banged up and tired, but he does it for the team.”
Harris, who pledged to the Crimson Tide as a sophomore, has surpassed 200 rushing yards in eight of 11 games this year. Dating back to 2014, he's gained 7,338 yards on the ground with 93 touchdowns.

Guess Willis along with Randolph and Leatherwood puts us out of the I. Wilson and Sarell sweepstakes. Not that I'm complaining!

Hank has said we would take both Wills and Wilson.
Sarell was a pipe dream anyway.

Wills is ranked #16 overall by Rivals FWIW.

I wonder if the fact that Wills committed is the reason that Baker is taking visits

Well according to Steve Wiltfong, Wills has been committed to Alabama since July 17th.
I'd like to think Baker has been told about this before now.

Alabama has now landed its fifth offensive lineman in the Class of 2017, setting up what’s turning out to be Nick Saban’s best offensive line class on paper.
Jedrick Wills, a 4-star offensive tackle from Lafayette High School (Lexington, Ky.), has announced his commitment to Alabama in a video with Bleacher Report. Wills joins 5-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, nation’s No. 1 junior college offensive lineman Elliot Baker, 4-star offensive guard Kendall Randolph and 3-star offensive guard Hunter Brannon in the Crimson Tide’s Class of 2017 group of offensive linemen.
Wills’ interest level in Alabama spiked this summer after spending some time with Leatherwood, one of the Crimson Tide’s best recruiters, at The Opening, Nike’s premier football camp for high school players. Alabama defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley is Wills’ primary recruiter. Ansley’s relationship with Wills dates back to when he was a coach at Kentucky. It’s now the second recruit Ansley has helped land from his days at Kentucky, with 4-star linebacker Markail Benton being the other.
Lafayette coach Eric Shaw said Wills’ interest level in Alabama was always there even when it didn’t seem obvious. He did admit that the interest picked up after his star player started to narrow his focus on a few schools, such as Notre Dame, Kentucky, Georgia and Florida.
“Who wouldn’t want to go be a part of a program like that?” Shaw told SEC Country. “He has made some visits there and he really likes the atmosphere there. He likes their tradition of success, so that’s why he’s interested in them. Academically, the school meets his needs, too.”
What kind of player is Alabama getting in Wills? Despite his size, Wills does not like running alongside fellow offensive linemen in sprints at Lafayette. He instead opts to run with the defensive backs and running backs.
“To see this 300-plus pound young man run with little guys and challenging himself to keep up with them really changed the focus and mindset of everyone else on the team,” Shaw said.
The nation’s No. 10 offensive tackle plays on both sides of the ball for Lafayette, and it was a big reason why the school made it to the state championship game in 2015. The plan for Wills when he gets to Alabama is to keep on the offensive side of the ball. That’s where Shaw thinks Wills is best-suited to succeed.
“He’s a very intense, aggressive and violent player on the field,” Shaw said. “The position he plays, you have to be very violent with your hands. He understands that he has a little nastiness to him that helps him be able to dominate every play.
“He’s going to be a great asset for any program.”

It was a silent commitment though. I'm just not sure how silent. Those things always throw me off
