Looks like an elite athlete. Sort of the NBA forward type like OJH/Jimmy Graham/Antonio Gates. It's super early for 2018, but I'd rather have him committed now than not.

John Garcia just tweeted that Epps was 6'7 says he is 6'5.5 on his 247 profile

I was thinking he looked taller than 6'5.5 in his highlights. Really towers over everyone else but difficult to judge sometimes by high school film. Talk about a RZ weapon

As a HS sophomore, he's still growing, so he could have easily grown some since that profile was created. Who knows?

I've been told by someone in the program who would know that he is 6'6.25" standing barefoot but in certain cleats(longer cleats for better grip on wet turf) he could be measured at over 6'7".

That person is Saban. He measured him with a ruler and a big step ladder.

That sounds like something ol' Sabes would do. That rascal. I'll hit him up early next week and blitz his grits about it. I'll get the lowdown, man. We go way back.

On Friday, Alabama hosted a small group of top prospects ahead of a big junior day event, and seveal scholarship offers were extended.

One of the receiving prospects was Clinton (Miss.) standout Kam White, who is teammates with current class of 2017 Crimson Tide commitment Cam Akers, who was also in town.

"I think he reacted the same as me, I mean we text and talk about stuff like this," White said. "We are basically brothers, honestly. That's what our moms call us. We've been knowing each other since we were little, and been close ever since."

Admitting the duo talks about playing together at the next level "a lot," the possibility now exists with the national champs.

New defensive back coach Derrick Ansley covets the 6-foot-2, 202-pounder as a safety prospect.

"I went down, talked to the DB coach, and we talked about film and position," White said. "They took me around the facilities and showed me everything. And when we were going to leave he told me I was a great player and he wanted me to know I had an offer from them and they want me to come there and come back for camps so he can coach me.

"He's new, he has been there before, though. He's just coming back (to Alabama). He's real cool, I think me and him will get along fine. He liked my ball awareness, how physical I am and my size."

A return to Tuscaloosa is now very likely for White. The extension isn't a small deal for one of the Magnolia State's best.

"It's Alabama so of course it's big," he said. "Just makes me want to keep working and be ready for the next level of play because it's coming soon."
