Jedrick Wills expected to commit next week. 4/5* OT from Lexington, KY. Some think Elijah Conliffe may go public soon. He's currently a private.
Still think we lose two from our current commitment list (Bama's choice). Spots are about to get extremely tight.

I wonder who we have on our roster at QB going into 2017. I wonder if Tua sticks. I would never speculate on that based on normal recruiting situations as they appear now. However, it's looking like it's going to be tougher and tougher to keep Hurts from being the man at QB (if not the first game, at some point in the season) for the next few years beginning this year. It's still such an unknown right now, but we could see a bunch of transfers coming up. I would bet >50% chance this scenario plays out (but no idea what Tua would do).

if he is as good as people claim, he's gone in 3 years, as are several if not all of our other QB's. Tua and Mac may find themselves as backups sooner than later, getting PT early on. Would only sit 2 years before taking over.........
Not a bad scenario, PT on elite team to learn the game, then 1-2 years of leading them yourself.

Can someone tell me why L5U fans have the worst reading comprehension skills of any fan base in the SEC?
I know I call them stupid all the time on the SECRb, but Jesus Christ some of them are fricking retarded.

They're a weird bunch on the whole. Just a different culture and mindset about a lot of things than anywhere else. A psychologist could have a field day trying to figure out their mentality toward Miles from one day to the next.

On another note, Devonta Smith is delaying his commitment due to the flooding. Quite understandable. No worries. He's all Bama.

They are on the only southern fan base that as a whole, constantly calls other southern fan bases stereotypical insults such as sister fricker, trailer jokes, etc. You would think a bunch of coon asses wouldnt feel so high and mighty but somewhere along the way they got the idea that crawfish was some how lobster.

Smith not committing Monday night
Alabama was expected to add a big-time commitment Monday night in 4-star wide receiver Devonta Smith, but the Crimson Tide will have to wait a bit longer to get the news that’s been expected since January.
Smith, who attends Amite (La.) High School, pushed back his commitment date due to the devastating flooding in Louisiana, according to his coach Zephaniah Powell. A new date has not been set yet.
There are definitely more important things in the world than finding out where the elite wide receiver will play college football, so I definitely commend Smith and the Amite coaching staff for focusing on the safety of those in his home state.
From a recruiting standpoint, this shouldn’t affect Alabama too much, though it does give Smith’s two other finalists, LSU and Miami, more time to make last-ditch efforts to sway him.
According to sources, the Crimson Tide remain confident they will land Smith when he makes his announcement.
Projecting Alabama to sign two top recruits in the near future
I sat down with Simon Rose of CineSport to preview both Smith’s and 4-star tackle Jedrick Wills’ commitments.
Wills is expected to announce his commitment by the end of this week. As of now, sources maintain that it’s an Alabama-Kentucky battle with Notre Dame being on the outside looking in. The Crimson Tide have become the favorites over the last month.
You can watch the video here and get my prediction for both players.
RB visiting Tuscaloosa for Auburn game
Alabama already has two running back commitments in 5-star Najee Harris and 4-star Brian Robinson, but it’s possible the Crimson Tide add a third to the group.
Anthony McFarland, a 4-star all-purpose running back from DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, Md.), is at the top of the wish list. McFarland told SEC Country at The Opening last month that Alabama would be on top if he had to name a leader. He also said that the commitments of Harris and Robinson don’t affect where he stands with Alabama.
“I don’t get into stuff like that because I’m a versatile player,” McFarland said. “I can play any position on the offense — slot receiver, even tight end if they need me — I can do anything.”
He told Rivals’ Adam Friedman that he will visit Alabama for the Iron Bowl game this November. What’s important about that visit is it’s likely to be an unofficial visit. He told SEC Country at The Opening that the trip would be an official visit.
But more importantly, McFarland told Friedman he’s likely going to take an official visit to Alabama after the season finishes. That’s great news for Alabama in its pursuit of McFarland because the more visits an elite recruit takes to Tuscaloosa, the more likely Alabama is at getting that player committed.
Again, with numbers tight, it still remains seen if the Tide will sign three running backs in the Class of 2017.

QB is a hard position to figure out for a lot of teams. I know Meyer does the "take 1 every year and let them compete" recruiting theory, which is all fine and good until you take 2 one year (like in 2017). If JT Barrett doesn't leave after this year (he's a rJR), then you have:
Barrett
Burrow
Haskins
Martell
Clark
Collier
all on scholarship with Emory Jones (who may be the best following JT) allegedly joining in in the 2018 class. You have to expect 2-3 don't want to wait to never play

Jedrick Wills pushed back his commitment until next Tuesday.

Someone on BOL that claim to be close to people associated with Wills says the holdup is basically the company that's producing his video commitment. There just waiting for the perfect time to release it. I assume it's like a Mcdonald and Randolph situation where he's probably already committed.

This week Alabama is expected to pass Ohio State for the No. 1 class in the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings. The Crimson Tide appear to have a couple verbals on deck in Amite (La.) High Top247 receiver Devonta Smith and Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette Top247 offensive tackle Jedrick Wills. Smith was going to announce Monday but postponed his decision because of the flooding in Louisiana. Wills could pull the trigger at any time. The next man in pushes Alabama past the long-time leading Buckeyes.
