Hmmm. We need him as the 3rd back. I'm not very comfortable with Jacobs or Gore being the 3rd back. Kind of wouldn't have minded a RB grad transfer that is really quick to play drake's slot/scat back position. We need Harris to be 1B to Scarbrough. I think this year we will see lacy and Yeldon type carry split. Scarbrough getting the bulk and Harris getting the rest.

Yeah, players will defitinely develop and recruits like Najee will definitely stay committed when they see we run to JUCO for answers.

It's one thing when we find answers in JUCO for our D-Line which rotates alot using up to 12 players in rotation.... and it is another thing when you want to run there for a third string RB when we primarily user only two.

How about we develop what we got.

That would truly be unfortunate if Emmons doesn't play this year.

I think he's got the tools to be special.

Are you retarded? I said grad transfer at a niche position. Not to start and carry the ball 30 times a game. Don't be so dense.

Same and I've been following recruiting closely for 6 years. I know they increased qualification standards not long ago, maybe this is a result of that?

At any rate, I really hope Emmons can play. You really need 3 quality RBs (no offense to Jacobs, Marks, and Gore) and Bo has a history of injuries.

ETA; talked to a friend and it is a new thing with the increase in GPA requirement. If you have between a 2.0 (old min.) and 2.3 (new min.) you can enroll and practice but not play.

And bringing in grad transfers at QB and WR hasn't exactly hurt recruiting at those positions. If anything, it's been better than ever.

I don't follow recruiting enough to know if there are scheduled announcements tomorrow, but I'm hearing that we're going to get two in-state commits tomorrow. No idea if that's news to y'all or not.

Randolph and McDonald are suppose to announce this week and are both expected to commit to Bama.
Ruggs was also suppose to commit this week, but pushed it back.

Najee Harris is visiting Michigan for their dumbass BBQ. I don't think anyone is really a threat for him, but I wish he would just shut his recruitment down. I honestly want to play Michigan and Ohio state in first game of the season games. I think USC and FSU with those 2 are 4 of my most disliked teams along with Oregon outside the SEC. I'll be honest. I can't stand any California team outside Stanford. Texas schools also suck. Hell, while I'm at it, frick everyone except Alabama lol

Really cool video they just put out. Glad to see Randolph following in Levi's footsteps.

Have they announced? I saw the video but thought it was a tease for their announcement. I didn't even play it.

Here's the video: LINK

At the very end it says they have committed to the process and then it shows a Bama hat.

You're remedial because apparently you need everything spelled out slowly or it flies way over your head.

What don't you get about it being a bad idea to bring in players (gradute or juco, same thing in terms of older players) to positions which don't have high rotation/availability and how it can hurt us recruiting?

RB, isn't like DL or WR with high rotations giving many players a lot of playing time.
