Deangelo Gibbs

New rank: 144

Prev. rank: 51

Difference: -93

“Gibbs has been one of the most notable names in the class of 2017 for several years now, but he continues to struggle with injuries. His limited time on the field has hurt his production and allowed some newcomers to pass him up in the rankings. He has a chance to bounce back if he can stay healthy and dominate on the field in 2016. Tennessee, Georgia and several others programs are in the mix for Gibbs.” - Wommack

I looked to see where Rivals had Benton ranked and he doesn't have one, even though it shows him as a 4-star.

The last 10 or so prospects in the Rivals 250 are 3-stars.

The did the same thing to OT Trey Smith.

LINK

So the #1 player overall on ESPN isn't ranked in the Rivals 250, yet he is listed as a 4-star on his profile page there.

What the frick is going on over there?

Really surprised a kid would want to be in same class as Tua. But hey welcome aboard.

Still a better option than Kentucky.

This QB competition will have casualties, and good to have a plan B if Tua bolts.

Tua hasn't given me the warm and fuzzies lately with some of his comments. At least now we won't be high and dry. I'm sure the coaches have been honest with him about things.

Tua just retweeted a USC fan asking him to flip to them because of this.

I think he deleted it. He's retweeting Bama fans now.

Tua just tweeted this

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Tua sticks. Will end up at USC.

I actually think the opposite. Kid seems solid and envolved and family seems grounded and upfront

Article with Tua about the Mac Jones commitment. LINK

quote:

Tagovailoa could not be happier for Jones’ decision to become a part of the Alabama family now. As far as Tagovailoa’s commitment status to Alabama is concerned, he summed it up succinctly.

“Alabama is my home for the next three to four years,” Tagovailoa told SEC Country.

The decision to add another quarterback to the 2017 class did not come as a surprise to Tagovailoa. Before he committed, the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat quarterback was notified that Alabama would be taking two this class. With that being said, Tagovailoa isn’t worried about competition with any other quarterback.

“I’m not too worried about playing time,” Tagovailoa said. “You’re always going to have to compete for your spot. I don’t see myself at any other school.”

That makes me feel better. I'd still like to see Cornwell compete for the starting job this summer instead of transferring out too. He has the talent to overcome Bateman if he can get over his mental shite.

Cornwell has tons of talent, he just seems to screw up in scrimmage situations

So I didn't post this when I was posting the biggest risers in the Rivals 250 because I didn't expect him to flip to us, but Mac Jones made it:

quote:

Mac Jones

New rank: 165

Prev. rank: NR

Difference: NA

“The Kentucky commit had as good an offseason as any prospect in the country. He shined in 7-on-7 work and in camp settings. He throws a good ball and can be quite a weapon when things are going well. The only knock on Jones is that he tends to let things spiral downward when they begin to go wrong.” - Cassidy
